Anna
"My name isn't Vivienne, it's Anna." I blurted out after a moment of shock. "I think there's been a mix up."
The man shot me a gold glare, and then he suddenly pushed me into the bathroom and shut the door behind him, turning the lock.
"What are you doing? Let me out of here!" I was beginning to wonder if I had fallen into an alternate universe. It seemed the entire world had gone mad.
"You can continue to run if you wish, Vivienne, but there's no corner of the world where I won't find you." He informed me coldly, stalking toward me till I was pressed against the wall and his large body caged me in.
My heart pounded faster and faster.
He reached out and wrapped his fingers around my neck. I gasped. "You signed your fate when you said I do. You're mine now, until death do us part. And the next time you try to embarrass me like this, I will destroy you and everybody you care about. Do not test me."
What had I gotten myself into. "I'm not your wife. You have the wrong person."
"Then why do you have my ring on your finger?" He gritted out.
Just then, there was a knock on the door. "Sir, the paparazzi are gathered downstairs. They've gotten a tip that your runaway wife is here."
The man stepped away from me, adjusting the sleeves of his suit. "Now, my dear wife, you have two choices. you can either go out there with me and act like the perfect loving wife, or you can choose to be stubborn and face my wrath."
It suddenly became clear what was happening. This was the Logan that the woman from earlier had been talking about. That woman must have been the real Vivienne. There had been something familiar about her, but now it struck me that we were look alikes.
My father was dying, and I needed money. This man before me looked like he had a lot of it, but needed a wife.
It was a win-win situation.
"I need three hundred thousand dollars." I blurted out before nerves could take over.
His eyebrows flew up. "Your monthly allowance is five million dollars. What the hell do you need a mere three hundred thousand for?"
What? Five million! That amount could change my whole life in a second.
"Fine." I said. "I'll be your perfect, loving wife."
His blue eyes narrowed. "There's something different about you."
Panic rushed through me, "W-what?"
"The Vivienne Hale I know is a spoilt, stubborn woman who couldn't stand the sight of me." He said.
Which meant that I had to act the part to avoid suspicion. I thought about how my step sister acted like a b***h, and decided to channel her. I rolled my eyes and stepped away from Logan.
"I need an increase in my monthly allowance, and I need to get out of this filthy clothes." I snapped my fingers. "I can't believe I had to disguise myself in these rags just to hide from you."
His gaze hardened. "That's my b***h wife that I know. Let's go. The cars are waiting."
"There's something I need to do first. Go ahead without me." How could I leave without seeing my father?
He let out a bark of cold laughter. "You think I'm stupid enough to let you out of my sight again? I'm not in the mood to chase you around the state again."
Logan marched forward and grabbed my arm in a painful grip. "We're leaving now."
The cold fury in his gaze warned me that he wouldn't tolerate my defiance right now, so I let him drag me through the hospital hallway and into an elevator. Two other suited men wearing shades joined us and the elevator carried us down to a private underground garage.
We made our way to a black shiny, Rolls-Royce parked to the side.
As soon as we climbed in, Logan hit a button, and the privacy glass rose up between us and the driver seat. My fake husband suddenly grabbed me, pulling me into his lap in one swift move.
Before I could let out a shocked cry, his mouth was on mine, hot and hungry. His hand grabbed at my ass, pressing me into the erection trapped under his suit pants.
I tore my mouth away, breathing hard. "What do you think you're doing? How dare you treat me like a cheap w***e?"
"Our marriage contract requires that you give me an heir." He reminded me. "I hope you really don't expect that id make love to a snake like you in my bed. You're nothing but a gold digging b***h and I'll treat you as I wish."
Now I understood why the real Vivienne had run off despite the monthly allowance. Logan was truly a bastard.
"We have an event to attend right now. So we'll have to go for an impromptu shopping trip." He informed me coldly. "And remember, Vivienne, if you do anything to embarrass me, I'll destroy you. I'll rip your family's company to shreds and make you wish you had never crossed paths with me."
I couldn't take this. How could I survive being married to this devil? My father's life mattered to me, but I wouldn't sell myself for money.
The car came to a screeching halt and I immediately reached for the door handle, opening it and stumbling out of the car.
"What do you think you're doing?" Logan snapped, climbing out after me.
I tugged at the ring on my finger, "Take your ring and your monthly allowance and go to hell you bastard."
Cold blue eyes stayed on me as I struggled to pull the ring away. "You're embarrassing yourself, Vivienne."
"My name isn't_"
"Anna? what are you doing here?" A familiar voice asked from behind. I turned around to see my step sister and her spoilt friends staring at me wide eyed.
Oh God.
