The next couple of days were spent lying beside the pool. I couldn't do much because of my leg, so Effie and Bear didn't want to go far from me. Effie kept saying that this was our first family vacation and that we needed to spend it together. I finally talked her into going and exploring the island yesterday. Of course, my mom and sister helped me.
Since I grew up coming to the island a few times a year, I have been all over the island. I knew every part of it forwards and backwards. I could probably walk it with my eyes closed. My brothers and I were always outside when we were here. So we knew every nook and cranny and every secret spot. On the one side of the island, there is even a cave down by the water. It's hard to find it unless you know where it is.
