I nodded at him, and he gave me both shots. When that was done, he disposed of the needles in the little box he carries in his doctor's bag and then headed to the front of the jet to sit. Right before we took off, Jude came in and sat in the seat. He buckled up, and then we were taking off. He held me as steady as he could to keep me from moving around. I was glad when we were finally in the air. But then I was right back out again.
The second time that I was knocked out, I saw what my life could look like. I saw Effie, Bear, and I all together and living out at the ranch property. I saw us with Veer and Effie with a round belly for our son. She was always the most gorgeous woman in the world to me. But being pregnant, she is absolutely stunning. It left me breathless and speechless.
