We finished telling everyone goodbye, and Leandro let them know that he'd be back in a little bit. When we got out to the SUV, he put Veer in his car seat and then helped me in the car. I got Veer buckled in, and once Leandro was in the car and we had our seatbelts on, we were on our way.
When we got back to the bakery, we pulled around to the back of the building, and I unhooked the car seat from the base.
