Being back home with my family has been both a blessing and a curse. I knew that I needed to sit down and have an actual conversation with Effie and Bear. But there always seemed to be people around or something going on.
Like today, everyone decided to spend the day at the zoo. We ended up with a huge group of people together. And as much as I loved the family time, I was hoping for some time to spend with just Effie, Veer, and Bear. But with everyone around, I didn't get much of a chance to be alone with them. I still got to spend time with them, just not the way that I wanted to.
