When we got to the door, Jude opened it and stepped inside. I was right behind him, going in. When we got inside, her doctor was in there talking to her. She looked so f*****g confused about everything. When I looked at her face, I knew instantly that she had no clue as to who I was. It broke my heart that she didn't remember me. But even worse, it killed me that she may not remember her son.
Jude stepped up to the bed and kissed her on the head. "Hey baby girl. How are you feeling?" he had asked her. "Sore" she said as she looked back and forth between her dad and I with a confused look on her face. You could see how confused that she was as she kept looking back and forth between us.
