BRIA
The little girl was learning to walk but stumbled upon her small steps when a strong hand held her securely. She looked at the man with jet black hairs and piercing blue eyes, and gave him a toothless grin. He smiled at her in affection, and I could see his eyes sparkling with love in the dim light. The woman beside them watched their exchange with a small smile of hers, and tears of happiness pooled up in her eyes.
I felt that craving growing inside of me. The craving that always remained lit up in some corner of my heart. Whenever I watched the three of them together, it only reminded me of how incomplete I was. There was this void inside of me that could not be filled no matter what I did. Tears gathered in my eyes, and a chill ran down my spine.
