“I will look so beautiful,” Aria said in excitement, her eyes lighting up. “Mother says I only wear this for important things.”
“Yeah, you look great,” I replied, laughing as I found her words quite amusing.
She did look beautiful in the little purple gown she had on, the end nearly sweeping the ground as we walked; literally a little princess in this rather strange world. I was nearly as happy as she was that she would get this painting she so much wanted. But, well, let's just say we may have different reasons for being happy.
Look, who was I kidding? I only jumped in to accompany Aria to the artist's house when I figured it was the same man I saw the other day. But I just wanted to see him again… I mean, it wouldn't hurt to see him, now, would it?
