THIRD-PERSON POINT OF VIEW Life is not what it always seems to be. Everything outside looks happy and pretty you know bright colours, rainbows and unicorns. That's just looking at things through a glass window, though if you look closely there are certain things you observe which troubles them and disturb you. Every smiling face is not always happy. Likewise, Not everybody is at peace, everyone has fears and problems, just their pretend faces are enough to deceive others. Every fear and insecurity trying to crawl its way toward people if not being careful. People are fighting to keep their shortcomings at bay and those who let them in, are cowards. Extremely afraid to fight them. But you know the worst feeling and fear is, Being left out, "FOMO" you call it these days. Being ignored. Not being bothered by your existence. It's rather considered a joke. But when you let this feeling creep up to you, you learn to love it, enjoy the jokes the darkness whispers to you. You let it consume you. You become the worst nightmare. The best part is, Serena is far from it. She is used to the emotion yet she fights it. All her life she was all alone. Only being in the company of her best friend. Serena, to the people, was always known as a burden which her now, deceased mother, had left. She was deprived of fatherly love, her sisters never even bothered her or acknowledge her. While his brother was only on talking terms with her. Yes, he did not like her but did not be rude to her about it. He masked it very smoothly, yet Serena appreciated this gesture of him. Somewhere deep down, she expected love from Simon after her marriage. Yet again it was not for her. After the "being manipulated into the kiss" incident, which was two weeks ago, Simon packed his bags left for London. Which leaves her with the only memory of his strong cologne and the feel of his lips and his hands. And that revelation. His heart-wrenching words. Waking up every morning without his presence and on his bed, was unfamiliar and strange to Serena. In her high school days, Serena did share a bed with Simon a couple of times. Eww not like that. Ughh get your mind out of the gutter. But back in those days, they were just friends who were ignorant that they both liked each other secretly. In this big house of his, he left her on their second day of marriage. She did not know why he left. He wrote her a note which read, going to London. Bye. She was dumbfounded. What emotion she had to express first, sad, angry, surprise, she did not know. From that day on, she was alone in this big house, with only house workers and she made it upon herself to befriend them. Fortunately, all of them were sweet to Serena. She had built a special liking towards the 19-year-old cook. Who had magic in her hands, according to Serena. If not with them, she was usually found sprawled on the sofa in the living room, reading or tapping away on her phone. Another habit of hers, she found joy in gardening, a genetic habit from her mother. "Serena dear, are you awake? " she heard an elderly voice. Serena quickly jumped out of bed and ran into the bathroom, opened the tap and washed her face, braided her hair and made some arrangements for her appearance and lastly applied lip balm came out of the bathroom and replied, "In here Dahlia," Serena was sure that she would hear another ear full from this sweet yet strict lady if she was found still asleep at 7.00 in the morning. From what she had gathered, Dahlia is an elderly woman who works here for year's now. To Simon, Dahlia is a motherly woman, of course after his mother. Dahlia considers Simon as her son since she had none. Through her sources, Aka Autumn: the cook, Dahlia did had a seven-year-old daughter who died at a very young age due to a brain tumour. It was a very touchy topic. Serena had noticed. Dahlia was a strict woman, who loved disciplined people. She was only comfortable with Autumn and Serena. They say, Simon bought Dahlia along when he moved out. With a bright smile on her face, Dahlia went towards Serena who was still in her sleep attire but had her hair braided into a French tail and she had her countenance moisturized. Her grey T-shirt hung loosely on her slim and toned body. Oops! His t-shirt, She wore black leggings underneath. Applied another layer of lip balm on her chapped lips. She Wore a long shrug over. "Oh! my, did you sleep alright? I made a list of things we are about to do today," Noooooo! That was the first thing that came into her mind. All Serena wants to do right now, is to slip into the bed again, and...... miss him. Yes, she was missing his snarky comments and his handsome face. Was she longing for him? Definitely NO. The weather today also did no good to her mood. Well..... she was certainly in no mood for a girls day out or........anything for that matter. If that's what this is of things is referred to. The weather today was something to be described as cosy and breezy. It was cold outside, and the sun did not rise, just bracing the population with its warm rays. The atmosphere today would have had you make a mugful of hot chocolate and read a book by the window sill with a warm blanket around you and legs tucked in. Just Being lazy. "But first let's get you breakfast, " Dahila continued. " Ahhhh, I don't think I am in any mood for a girls day out, Dahlia," Serena said in a low "Oh! nonsense. You have been cooped in this old mansion for nearly two weeks, this could give you a change of place," Dhalia said with a smirk on her face to which Serena didn't pay any heed. Something is not right, This isn't the person I know, Serena thought. All Serena wants to do is to go back to bed and miss.... him. She was......She was too busy for any other things happening around her. She quietly followed Dahlia downstairs, to the kitchen. While descending the stairs she could smell the delicious aroma. Suddenly she was hungry. "Oh!Just in time. The breakfast is all ready," Autumn clapped as she saw Serena. " Good morning to you too," Serena replied. She looked at the table and her stomach growled. She could care least about it. There was a stack of freshly made honey glazed pancakes with a small blob of butter on it. Some oatmeal and chocolate muffins on a tray. Cinnamon toast smells heavenly and scrambled eggs and plain toast with it and last, to complete the breakfast there was orange and watermelon juice. Serena grabbed everything and dug into her plate. She could hear hushed whispers behind her. She had enough of it now. Something was going on. She thought. She turned around before she could ask autumn anything, autumn said, "You are wearing the same T-shirt, is it one of sir's? I swear I have seen it before," She smirked. Whereas Serena stilled, her ears turned red, she was flushing. "Ahem, so what if I am?" Serena shrugged. Acting as it was no big deal. Truth, she was wearing this t-shirt just to smell his vanilla and sandalwood Cologne. It had been three days since was wearing the same thing at night. "Oh! nothing. Just an observation," Autumn replied. Serena nodded at both of them who were standing near the kitchen counter. She looked at them confused and angry for a while, then asked, "Is there something wrong? Something I am missing?" There was silence for a long long while. Serena was waiting for any of them to speak. "Ummmm, we were just curious as to how and where this relationship would go. I know it's none of our business, but.... you are just so cute and sweet and loving and feisty, just so his type. You acted like you don't love him33s3 when you were informed of his departure, soo....... we made bets that........ for how long until you miss him. Guess what? it took two weeks and 1 day to miss him," Autumn said and indicated towards the t-shirt Serena was stunned but covered her expressions quickly and said with a stoic face, "I am not missing him, it's just that this shirt is comfortable to sleep in, so you know," Serena shrugged. She finished her breakfast and gulped down the orange juice. Liar mocked her inner voice. She rolled her eyes. "yeah, whatever floats your boat," autumn and Dahlia scoffed. Serena rolled her eyes again, "I am not," She half wailed Those two just giggled. "Weren't we supposed to complete the 'to do list' Huh," She changed the topic. Those were distracted easily, at least that is what she thought. "Oh! yeah, You go and change quickly. We are going grocery shopping and then..... just shopping and........ all day out," Dahlia explained. The breakfast was refreshing. Serena now definitely didn't want to sulk in the house. She didn't even know why she was missing him. Even after making a fool of herself. She remember what had happened on her wedding night. she remembers everything clearly. She was a part of a game. she was stuck with him forever. This was all just a petty lie. at least that's what he said. He didn't love her. He could have even married her sister instead, he chooses her. "your lips taste the same darling," She touched her lips at the memory. She would find out what that was all about. But in her way. And oh! she was a curious child. Investigating. Her most favourite thing to do. Earlier last week, She did check his wardrobe, side table drawers, his files that were in his room hoping to find something but all in vain, except for a couple of photos. Which were mostly of his family and the small girl, she didn't recognise. That sweet handsome bastard hadn't allowed her in his study. She cursed him. She stood in front of the wardrobe, wondering what to wear. Choosing a violate sweater and black track pants. She dressed up and was doing her makeup when her phone rang, Upon seeing the calling id her face lit up. "Oh hey,"
