"I called you two here because of your mom" he started and my heart skipped a bit.
"What about her?" Chris whispered
"Yes doctor, is our mom OK" I pleaded
"Your mom is fine. You don't have to worry about that. I called you two in to discuss her operation" I hated how he seemed to be keeping us in suspense. Like spill it already!
"But doctor, we haven't been able to get the full amount required yet" Chris reminded him since we already discussed this.
We were here just two days ago and he told us there was no way the hospital could help, so what's with this meeting?
