I must have slept off because I was startled by the noise of the door. I jerked up from the floor where I was huddled and smoothened my clothes, waiting for whoever was twisting the lock to come in. The door opened and The Alpha King stood there staring at me with creased brows. I looked at the floor with shaky breaths.
