I closed my eyes to my death. When the arrow hit, everywhere went dead silent. I huffed and took in a deep breath. I feel pain or any sort of it, but I could hear my heart pounding in my ears. What happened? Was I not dead? Why had everywhere gone dead silent all of a sudden? My eyes fluttered open and first rested on the devil called Alpha. I was panting ferociously now and my chest rose and fell.
Then two guards untied me from the board and I crashed to the ground, trying to fight back the tears that threatened to fall. I heard murmuring among the people as they started to disperse slowly. I heard the Alpha was a man of his word, but I didn't know why he didn't kill me again. The arrow he threw had stuck a few inched above my head, it pinned some of my hair even.
