I sat quietly by the corner in the hut that looked so big to me now, while Lady Shanti, assuming the role of my guard, paced around the entrance with a long club hung over her shoulder, paying me no mind. I won't say I wasn't scared of what the consequences would be later, but I pray she would be there to defend me when trouble comes knocking on my door.
