Annabelle smiled. “I’m actually not very skilled at cooking.”
“It’s already very impressive,” Marvin praised sincerely.
She glanced at Kendrick and noticed that the sly fox was still smiling, though it was obvious that he was extremely displeased.
Well, whose fault is that? You were the one who started talking unnecessarily, Annabelle thought, feeling no sympathy for him.
