Marvin immediately shut his mouth. He had already messed up once—he didn’t want to make himself even more annoying. “Where are you headed now? I’ll take you there.”
“I’m going to find Kendrick. He’s in the bar, no need to send me.”
Annabelle was already feeling exhausted. The whole exchange with Ada and Willie had drained her completely.
For someone with social anxiety, dealing with such a scene was as exhausting as running ten kilometers.
Still, she wanted to ask Marvin why he had traveled all this way just to find her.
