Julissa was momentarily stunned under Scott’s intense gaze.
In her mind, Scott and she came from completely different worlds, people who would never cross paths. The fact that they had a superior-subordinate relationship was already a strange thing in itself.
Scott liking her? That was impossible.
She cursed her own romantic thoughts, quickly straightened her reasoning, and said seriously, “Yes, I understand. Mr. Nichols is a considerate leader who cares for his employees. So when you noticed I wasn’t feeling well, you personally made sure I got home safely. You’re truly the best boss I’ve ever had.”
After saying that, she flashed him a grateful smile.
