Once the room fell silent again, Annabelle couldn't help but ask, "Aren't you tired?"
Although she had started working out and was in much better shape than before, she still couldn't keep up with Kendrick's... intensity.
"Wilson's prescription works really fast," Kendrick said with a smile, then paused before adding, "Mostly because I won't be seeing you for the next two days, so I'm prepaying for it."
Annabelle was taken aback. "Are you going on a business trip?"
"Mm, flying to Tokyo tomorrow morning."
"Ah, okay," Annabelle nodded. She hadn't heard him mention it before.
Kendrick chuckled, saying it was a sudden decision and he hadn't expected it either. However, it was just a project meeting, and he would be back by the fifth day at the latest.
