Liam's voice grew tired and full of guilt as he spoke, as if he couldn't continue any longer.
"It’s okay, go ahead," Julissa responded, her voice dry, giving him a bit of courage.
She knew that Liam hadn't truly ended things with Maya, and she had become numb to their lingering connection. Now, Julissa just wanted to hear the truth from Liam.
