Ije
It was one cold morning and I was traveling to Benin in a Toyota Hiace Bus. The driver set out and made no stop until we got to Lokoja where the Egba's convoy was causing traffic.
"Abeg make we pass", he begged
We stopped at Lokoja, I got some snacks from the restaurant and the driver drove non stop until we arrived at Akpapava, where I boarded a cab to Hall IV, to stay at my friends Seun's room.
"Good evening", I said.
"Good evening", he replied.
"How was your trip?"
"It went well."
"Are you hungry?"
"Yes,"
"Will you eat beans."
"No."
"I want get something from the common room shop"
"Okay."
"Am coming."
"Okay."
I headed to the common room shop to purchase bread and sachets of water.
"Good evening."

"I want to buy bread."
"How many?"
"One."
The shopkeeper fished some bread from the shelf and handed me a packet of bread.
"Is that all?"
"Give me Coke."
"No Coke."
"Bring Fanta."
"No Fanta."
"Give me Sprite."
"Bottle or plastic."
"Plastic."
He dipped his hand into the fridge and handed me a plastic bottle of 7UP and packaged the packet of bread amd a bottle of 7UP into a black cellophene nylon
"Give me two sachets of water."
He dipped his hand the fridge and brought put two sachets of water and packaged it.
"Thats how much?"
"600"
"Okay."
I handed a one thousand naira note to the shopkeeper through the shop pigeon hole. He handed me a four hundred note from the pigeon hole and I placed it into my pocket.
"Thamk you", the shopkeeper said.
"You are welcone", I replied
I headed back to Seun's room and had ny snacks and dozed off. I woke up the next day, freshened up and headed out the hostel and boarded a cab to Ekosodin Back Gate alighted and headed home, on my way a young boy offered to carey my luggage and I loosened my grip on the luggage and he accompanied me home amd upon arrival I parted with some cash.
