Liliths pov
"...Why make me an abomination?"
That word, Izia has always refered to vampires as an abomination. She never understood my creation. Don't think she ever tried. Three thousand years its been and she still hates them. I made them for her, I made them to protect her. I became one because I didn't think I was strong enough to protect her.
'Since the day I was 'born' I had always been drawn to blood. I could use it, mold it, bend it to my will. It could have been anyones, from anywhere. I could pull blood from battle grounds centuries old, as long as it resided somewhere in the earth beneath me it was mine to wield. It creeped both my sisters out, the only person it didn't creep out was my twin brother. Less said of him the better for now. over the millennia I perfected my blood magic, atleast I thought I did. It wasn't until we were all put in danger that I realized just how weak I was. Guilt continued to haunt me from that day.
My siblings and I playing in the grass outside what is now my home, but back then it was an acient observetory, that backed onto field of flowers. Everything was light hearted and happy. My brother and I were mock training, Tink and Izia playing with their powers of light, that was until they screamed. Swiviling towards them , I watched as a large demon swiped at the both of them. While I ran towards the demon my brother ran away like a coward, he died in my heart at that moment. Slicing my hand with my nail while I ran, I used my blood to fashion my favourite weapon, the sycthe. Tink had sheilded Izia with her own body, large scratches now covered her upper. When I reached the demon and swung my sycthe I caught the demon in the eye. It did nothing to deter him, in fact the only thing it made him do was swing his beastly tail at me. Blocking it was not enough as the power behind it threw me against something hard. When next I woke Izia was between Tink and me. We were in beds bandaged from head to toe, apparently we were rescued but by whom, I dont know.
I vowed to be stronger from that day, I began studying anceint books and magic, until I found a story that claimed those with control of blood had the abillity to evolve, however so few had ever been born that those who had tried had died. Still, I would do it for her , for them. I began consuming my own blood, using it to internally rewire myself. I locked myself in the obsevetory, my home. Then slowly, day by day, my body changed. I craved the taste of my own blood, my heart slowed and my senses became keener, for weeks I had tooth ache that left me bedridden , the light began to hurt and then one day I slept.
I slept and slept in a dreamless world, where all things were dark and nothing moved. After a long time of silence, my sisters screams came through, reaching for them hurt, but so did listning to their cries. I awoke cocooned in a blood shell, and then I had to learn. Learn how to use my fangs and the venom they held, learn to adapt to my new strength, my new abilitys and of course the wings and flying, that was the strangest thing definatly. However it scared my sisters, and after I turned my chosen twelve to lead covens, Izia belived me an abomination. I never had the heart to tell her why I became what I am, but if I can protect her, I no-longer care.'
Finally answering Izias questions. I went along unraviling her bandages checking how well she had healed, pasing her a shirt from a draw behind me when I had checked the hole in her chest, which was now a scar that ran between her breasts, that would never fade. Undoing the wraps on her wrisits the six bites on each wrist stuck out like sore thumbs all in various stages of healing, these would also scar but never fade.
"You're lying" Izia growled out.
I felt the power from it, the accusation behind it, the betrall of trust. It took me by suprise the sheer strength behind the words, I could sense pain behind it, but also blood lust she would need to feed soon. I needed to calm her down.
"I'm sorry?"
"You're a liar Lilith, and Torie is gonna die."
"Wait..."
Izia was already out the door, she really was quick for a fledgling, she needed a true feed to balance all her power out before she went berserk, however it looked like she was past that point and Torie was about to be her target. Racing out after her I watched as she leaped off the railing and barreled toward Torie, who had no time to react. Running at full speed, I stopped right in front of the two, stopping Izia mid swing, yet her eyes were so clouded in rage she had yet to notice.
