As everyone left the study Ash noticed that Boris was standing in the hallway looking nervous. She smiled at him as she walked towards him.
“What’s up?” Ash asked.
“I’m sorry that I hurt you. I wasn’t meaning to hit Ember that hard.” Boris said looking at the ground. He couldn’t bring himself to look her in the eyes.
“It’s ok Boris. It’s just a couple of cracked ribs, I’ll heal. But we can’t train for a couple of days until I do heal.” Ash said giving him a pat on his arm.
“Still, I should have kept my strength in check. But why aren’t you healed already? I know that there are herbs and spells for healing.” Boris was confused.
“Because Ember needs to grow accustomed to pain. She fears it and it’s holding us both back. So for now we are relying on her ability to heal us.” Ash said
