Aiden stared at her intensely. She looked him dead in his eyes, “So who tried to kill you? I’m damn sure you were betrayed by your most trustful person.” His eyes widened and his reaction was enough for Amelia to figure out she was indeed correct.
Aiden sighed, “You are damn smart.” 'I'm so screwed. This woman is going to be the death of me.’ He groaned inwardly.
Amelia smirked, “So I’ve been told. You better get talking now.” She gave him a sharp look and before Aiden could utter a word the doorbell rang with a series of knocks on cue.
“Damn it!” Amelia groaned as Aiden relaxed. “We will talk about this later.” Her voice was cold enough to send chills down Aiden's spine as he nodded at her.

Amelia was sipping on her tea calmly while looking at the person who disturbed her smooth conversation, she would've figured a few things about Aiden, if he would've answered. 'Darn saved by the bell'. The person who was sitting in front of Amelia was grinning at her sheepishly. In a stern voice she cursed out “Damn you punk, you better have a good reason for showing up here, especially here." her eyes were glaring daggers at the person in front of her.
The person chuckled, "Honestly you are more scary than anything and I'd be a fool if I go around showing up without a strong reason in this damned weather."
"What is it?" she asked seriously.
"He is on loose." Amelia smirked, a glint of evil clearly visible in her eyes. She didn't look like the same person before hearing those words come out of her childhood friend anymore. Her crystal blue eyes dilated into a frosty blue, her posture went stern with grace, she held the smirk of a devil itself.
"It's our turn now Carl. Let's play. Raise the bar." Amelia said, her voice send chills down Carl's spine but he grinned at her. "I live for this." He stood up, bowing down in front of her, a sign of respect which runs in royals. She gestured him to leave which he obliged, he reached the door when Amelia's shrill voice cut in.
"Carlson Ferry Brooks, Live up to your name." A genuine smile touched his lips as he opened the door and left for his new mission.
Amelia was still sitting on her chair looking like the queen she was born as. Her actions held such grace which belonged to royalty but she has managed to fool everyone so far in the States. If she wasn't born a queen then she would've been a queen in acting. But a person did manage to see right through her and that person was none other than Aiden King, which worried her but strangely felt good to be understood in a way every person longs to.
