The Desire to be Wiser - (Miguel)

833 Words
Eagle and Gwendy had said many things that had piqued Miguel's curiosity the boy felt that he was basically shooting in the dark, he was heading aimlessly into the other world, knowing less than he wanted to know, yet, of course, that along with the powers gained by the crystal he had acquired some knowledge as well. For these reasons, before going to the room where his letter was designating, Miguel decided to go to one of the Order's libraries. "And who are you?" Asked the librarian when she saw him there. "Uh...I'm...I'm new here." Miguel replied. "I don't see you in your Order uniform and I've never seen you here before. I don't think I can let you go." "It's okay, he's with me." Said a voice known to Miguel. It was that girl from before, Evagore Sobek, the girl who had almost killed him. "Alright then, this time it passes." said the librarian grudgingly. Miguel nodded to the girl and continued on his way. There were many books there, so much to see and know. Between one of the aisles of library shelves, Evagore found Miguel, she had a mischievous smile on her face. "You shouldn't be here, should you?" She asked. "What is it, do you also think I'm not worthy to enter the library or something?" Evagore chuckled. "That's behind us, ok? But I don't think you should go against the Eagle's orders." "I wasn't going against orders, I'm going to go where he said I should go, I just wanted to know a few things first." "Still curious, huh? Alright, I'll let you have your fun, but you shouldn't be late, okay?" Miguel nodded and then Evagore was gone. There were so many things Miguel didn't even know where to start, but he did a quick read in volumes on the history of the order. After that he searched more about the wizard named Dagda Spellon and when the boy was engrossed in his reading, someone appeared there, not quite happy. "So this is where you were, huh?" He spoke to Victoria with a slightly irritated face, "do you know how long we've been waiting?" "Well... hm... my bad." "Come on, you have something to do." Miguel followed Victoria into the room that must have been his destination before the library. Inside were Stanis and that blue-haired girl from before, the one fighting with a staff, her name was Yumi. "You faced a battle that nearly destroyed your body against Evagore to have this power and when you finally do, you act recklessly like that? That's... irritating." Yumi spoke with contempt when she saw him there. "You guys talk like I'm hanging around, but I was in a library," Miguel sighed and realized there was no point in arguing, "so what? What do I have to do?" "You have the crystal, right?" Miguel confirmed shaking his head. "Alright, we're going to run some tests on you, but first of all I need you to take your shirt off."  Hearing Yumi finish saying that Miguel threw a confused look at the girl, who seemed to blush, "D-don't get me wrong you i***t, it's a necessary process before the tests we need to run." "Okay so." A little embarrassed, Miguel did as the girl asked. "I need you to take your crystal and feel the energy coming from it, I need you to connect with it in a way you've never done before and then I need you to take it to your chest." Miguel did as the girl had suggested, he smelled a strong smell of salt air coming from the crystal and it was so cozy that he could almost hear the sounds of waves crashing on the beach and seagulls cawing. After that he felt as if a refreshing wave of sea water bathed his chest, he felt himself diving, or rather as if the wave was diving into him and in the next moment he saw that the crystal had merged with him, entered his chest and leaving there only a light and a mark with the symbol of water... the blue and greenish light blinked for some time before disappearing and leaving only the mark like a tattoo. "Okay, great, now I can't be shirtless in front of Mommy anymore." The boy thought. "Congratulations Miguel, it's really official now, you're one of the Six Warriors." Victoria congratulated him. "Actually this is a weight that will be on your shoulders for the rest of your life." Stanis said without changing his low, shy tone too much. "Stanis!" Victoria scolded him. "Enough of the small talk, you're one of the six now, alright, big deal, but we still have to get you ready for the mission. And you better be damn well prepared, kid." Said Yumi. Who did that girl think she was calling him a kid? I mean she looked younger than him. Anyway, ignoring this, Miguel was very curious to know what would come next.
