Crocodile Bite - (Miguel)

877 Words
As a chosen one of the water, Miguel expected a fight near the sea, but that was not the location they sent him. The strange thing, he thought, was that he was getting used to this thing about dangerous battles and magic. He entered the forest and found his opponent near a simple abandoned hut. It was that girl in a skirt. He remembered her name, Evagore Sobek. She was sitting on the porch of the old abandoned cabin, swinging her feet like a little girl. "So you came" she said with a smile. "Crazy, isn't it?" Miguel shrugged "I didn't want to have to come here and fight someone, but I've come to believe that you taking those powers away from me is like taking away my chance to understand what's really going on. I don't want to have this unknown in my head for the rest of my life, I'm going to the end." "Hmm, a curious boy." The girl got up with a little jump "so you'll be curious about what's going to happen now". She took a small box from her pocket and when she opened it an aura expanded from it. "Amazing! Did you open an Ephemeral Window with this magic item?" "I see you are not as ignorant as I thought. Did you like the place we came to?" Miguel was now near a lake house, which looked as abandoned as the cabin they had been in before. There was a bridge there that was almost falling apart and a mist permeated the humid air. "Curious choice," Miguel said, looking around but no longer seeing Evagore. "Right here" said the girl, and then Miguel noticed her on that rotten bridge by the lake. "Come here," Miguel went on. "You are very inattentive, lost sight of me in seconds, you have to change that if you want to survive. But enough of that, the lessons you will learn fighting, fate will tell you whether or not you will survive. Come on, attack me!" Miguel tried to kick the girl, but she easily defended herself by holding the boy's leg in the process. "You're not taking this seriously, are you? Fine, I have to show you what's at risk here..." she, still holding him by the leg, spun him in the air and threw him aggressively into the lake that was there "your life!" she screamed as Miguel was airborne and fell unresponsively into the lake, sinking into the cold water without being able to do much. Miguel felt through the vibrations of the water that another body plunged into the lake. It was the girl, she didn't move like an ordinary human in water, no, she seemed to slide through the liquid as if her body were a fish, an aquatic creature, a mermaid. She hit him once, swimming like a torpedo, hit him two, three. Miguel was just hit and moved slowly through the water, unlike the girl. Moreover, he seemed to be losing his breath when she struck him a third time from top to bottom and he was thrown out of the water with such force. Miguel fell on the wooden bridge that creaked, helpless as a fish out of water. The girl jumped out of the water like a dolphin and landed next to him with the grace of a gymnast. Miguel coughed up the water he had swallowed. "Pretty pathetic for a water magic user, don't you think?" Evagore spoke with a disappointed face. Miguel was getting up with difficulty. "So you had access to a magical technique of the water element and thought it was enough? No, having the responsibility of being a water user is much more than that." "Is that so? Well, while I don't discover the secrets you are talking about, just take this!" The boy pointed his fist at the opponent and focused his magic on it, "AQUA g*n!!" and a shot from a body of water the size of his fist was fired at the girl, the attack hit her in the abdomen and was strong enough to push her off the bridge into the lake. Evagore emerged from the lake once more, but not completely. Only her head and bust were out of the water, she had a smile on her face. "What a quick shot, huh? If you really think magic attacks are everything, then try mine". She moved her hands under the water and joined both fists vertically towards the boy, "take this, CROCODILE BITE!!" A mass of water the size of a motorcycle and in a shape that resembled the open mouth of a crocodile lunging at him, destroying the old rotten bridge in the process, Miguel just got into a defensive position and took the water attack that was heavier than any ocean wave he had ever experienced, the crocodile's jaw closed around his body and he never experienced such water pressure, he was thrown away and luckily fell out of the water, but still, having almost been crushed by a liquid attack. Some bones looked damaged, he was in a lot of pain and coughing a lot. "I made a miscalculation coming here", he thought, "there's no way I can win".
