A New Club - (Jack)

966 Words
Jack was sitting, looking up at the sky and watching the time go by. He saw Fenrir. "Hey, what's up dude" Jack greeted. "Er... hi" Fenrir replied. He looked distracted. Fenrir had been very strange these past few days, disappearing out of nowhere, going places alone. "Dude, you look weird." "Am I?" Fenrir didn't care. "See you later" and continued on his way. Jack shrugged and continued looking at the clouds. The bell rang, classes would return. "Damn it", Jack lamented. "It's Ichiro's class." The class passed. As always, Ichiro passed on a lot of lessons. Soon after, it was Professor Earnest's class, and it served to alleviate, even if Ernest was also a little stern at times. After all classes were over, Jack saw Fenrir and Arthur talking and then leaving the room together. Soon after they stopped, and Ethan joined them, Jack decided to follow them. After a while, he got tired, and decided to call them. "Hey guys!" he called out, panting "hey, where are you guys going?" His friends looked back. "Well, if it isn't Fat-Jack," said Arthur, smiling. "Fenrir, I thought we were friends!" he yelled, pointing to Fenrir. "What can you say to these two and not me?" "It was just something," Fenrir replied, "a project of mine. You're scandalous, I still thought I'd call you. Well, since you're here, let's go." Jack smiled and followed him. ... "Hey man" Jack called, "where are you taking us?" "You will see." "Dude, these places... Abandoned... They say they're haunted." "And you believe it? Damn it, man, you're the chosen one of the fire. If any spirits show up you can just… I dunno… make a grill with them." There were things there that looked like headstones... Owls chirped and the sounds of crickets, cicadas and other night animals could be heard. There were mud stone buildings, which had rusty iron railings, tall weeds, and stones scattered on the ground. Jack imagined that those buildings had once been beautiful, but now they lay in ruins. Jack saw several fireflies, and they were beautiful, maybe the only beautiful things there in those places. "It will be worth it," Fenrir assured. Jack tripped over a piece of old stone, which had a cross relief drawn on it. The stone fell and then a ghostly glow began to emerge. Jack screamed like a little child, and suddenly there was something legless, shiny and pale, with stark black eyes, bald, and with full, small lips like a beak. "Not really," said the ghost, in a voice that sounded like a moan, "I'm harmless." "How are you, Smoke?" Fenrir asked the ghost, as if they were old acquaintances. "I'm fine, Fenrir, how about you?" "Normal. I confess I was a little scared when I first saw him too", Fenrir chuckled, "but okay, he's a good guy... I mean... Good spirit." "Smoke?" Ethan asked. "Yes, Smoke didn't remember his name, so I named him that, because of his smokey appearance. By the way, you better get used to it, okay? Smoke is not the only ghost in the neighborhood.” Fenrir chuckled. "Dude, what's on your mind, huh?" Ethan asked, as if chiding him, "I knew you reading those weird goth poetry wouldn't do your head any good." They continued until they came to a wooden building, which looked quite old and worn from the outside, but at least it didn't look unsafe. "Okay, what is this?" Arthur asked. "Meet our new headquarters, our newest school group!" Fenrir announced "Welcome to the Phantom Lord!" ... "What the hell is this?!" Ethan yelled, pointing to the cabin, "Do you think I'm going in there?" "Don't worry man", Fenrir said. "Come in, it's not what you think." They entered. The inside was actually better. Fenrir had taken out the dust and cobwebs, remodeled some places, and put in magic-powered lamps he'd bought at the little shop. The place was empty, and even spacious. There was a large hall supported by wooden beams, there were some tables of the same material and also benches and chairs. There was a balcony, and a staircase that led to upstairs. It looked like some kind of guild or tavern. "Seems good to me," Arthur admitted. "What a mess, what a mess!" Ethan spoke with his head in his hands. "Stop this expensive cleaning mania, I had a lot of work here. This place is perfect! I had a job to find one so cool." "Why Phantom Lord?" Jack wanted to know. "All the convergences pointed to that name, the ghosts that roam around here. I thought of Metallica's music and, at the same time, Fairy Tail's dark guild." "I want to see up there," Jack spoke. "Dude, it's still dark there, and it's kind of creepy." They heard a crash coming from there. "Damn, what was that?" Jack asked, startled. "So this is the place for the new club?" asked Katy, jumping in front of the boys, landing on her feet, deft as a cat. "I like the place, it's better than ours." "I think so too," Fenrir chuckled. "But there are ghosts here. Even vampires don't like their presence." "Oh no problem, they're nice!" Fenrir said excitedly "Tomorrow I'll talk to the coordinator so that our club is official. We'll talk about… Well, anything." "How about the Six Warriors?" suggested Arthur. "The Six Warriors, good," Fenrir replied, pointing to his friend. Katy laughed. "Good luck," she said. "Then is founded, by me, Fenrir Silvster, the Lord Ghost!" Fenrir took a completely black cloth. On it was drawn a hooded skull, wrapped in a purple aura. "Here is our banner, our symbol." Fenrir announced "like it?" "Yooooshi!" Jack exclaimed, raising his arms, "I think I'm excited, this is going to be interesting!"
