A week has passed since the start of classes. The whole day was busy: at 7am it was breakfast, at 7:30am classes started, there was a twenty minute break from 9:40am to 10am, and 12:30pm, which was a lunch break. They returned at 1:30 pm, there was a 3:30 pm break and returned at 4:00 pm, the shift usually ended at 5:30 pm or 6:00 pm. Usually the day was not just classes, there were other activities and certain days of the week there were some free times, it depended on the schedule of each one. 7:30 pm was dinner time, and 10:00 pm was curfew, day shift students were supposed to be in their dorms. Saturday was a well-deserved rest for all students at that institution.
He was at one of the training camps with Professor Ralf, the weirdest teacher Ethan had ever had. It was a kind of centaur, (half man, half horse), but on its head there was a huge deer antler, it was very stout and big, its arms were thick with defined muscles, and a strange steely crust covered them, Ethan didn't know if it was metal prostheses, or if it was just armor, on the right shoulder there was a white and gold metal shoulder, as well as the one on his arm, the fur on his horse part was brown, as well as his full hair and disheveled and from his neck-length beard, his mouth was wide and thin, colorless lips, his eyes were completely green, with no sign of irises or pupils, and had no eyebrows, he wore a thick golden belt with blue ornaments and stones, and a kind of steel-colored crown with green stones, in addition to a string of sharp teeth, had a tattoo on his left chest, Ankh. He was often seen with an all metal mace, with pale blue stripes, (she looked very heavy) of his favorite weapon.
"Yes, it's perfectly normal for some students to have pets here," Ralph said looking at Indira who was happily flying across the countryside, "sadhvis are quite rare indeed, in all my life I've only seen one. You and your friends are lucky, I would say."
"Yes" Ethan smiled, "I think we really are."
...
There were many things for leisure on a Saturday day at that gym, usually some of the students returned home too, others stayed around and enjoyed some things like the Glass Lake, which was one of the favorite places for leisure on days off students there. That's where Ethan's friends were, both the Six Warriors and the Guardians, and Elza was going there too. Indira was flying around Ethan when Elza appeared and saw him there. She wore short shorts over her bathing suit and a straw hat with a bow, looking very pretty. Ethan pulled the comb out of the pocket of his bathing shorts and straightened his pompadour, but Elza paid more attention to Indira than to him, hugging the flying fur ball in the same way Ethan wanted Elza to do to him. Ethan cleared his throat.
"My friend Jack is also going with us, so let's wait for him here."
Jack didn't take long to show up, he greeted Ethan and Elza with a wave of his hand and a smile, he wore an ordinary T-shirt and bathing shorts, but he never took that ridiculous beanie with ears off his head. For some strange reason, Indira started to behave strangely around Jack, she started saying those things in the incomprehensible language that only Elza understood, pointing at Jack and flying very fast in circles around the boy.
"Hey, what's up?" Jack asked.
"I don't know, she's talking too fast, it's hard to understand" said Elza, "but she's saying something about Jack needing to be careful about something."
"I already know!" Jack exclaimed "how could I forget? Yeah, dammit, I forgot the sunscreen, go ahead, I'll meet you there!" Jack then ran back to the dorm, Indira was flying after him despite Elza's protests for her to stay.
"What a moron" Ethan said with a grimace, "the guy controls the fire, he took fire attacks directly from Thea Sethlans and he's worried about sunburn?"
Already at the lake, even Billy was with them, Miguel insisted on teaching Fenrir to swim, which the chosen of the dark refused and said that someone had tried before and it hadn't worked out very well.
"That girl, Evagore... although apparently she didn't like me very much," Fenrir said.
Sam was there with a guitar and he was risking a few chords, but Arthur snapped that he wasn't as good as he thought he was, to which Sam looked offended. Jack took a while to return and Ethan noticed that Indira was no longer in sight, although this was common, from time to time the little creature remained invisible and just watched the boys. Ethan also noticed that Jack looked strange, but he didn't want to talk about it.
In the afternoon, after lunch, Ethan and Fenrir returned to the dormitory, Ethan saw Fenrir begin to sleep and before he knew it he had fallen asleep too. He woke up with Billy there. Ethan stared at the sunlight streaming in through the cracks in the window and by the light the afternoon was drawing to a close, Fenrir was still sleeping, Billy was shaking him, trying to wake him up.
"Alright man, I'm awake already, what's wrong?"
"It's Jack," said Billy, "he hasn't been seen since shortly after lunch. Worse yet, he was seen being taken by members of the Odaiv g**g somewhere."
"Damn Jack, what kind of mess have you gotten yourself into now?" Ethan thought, frowning.
...
Saturday, 5:45 pm.
Jack was last seen with a boy from the Odaiv g**g in Myrddin Square around 3:00 pm, after that no more. A girl friend of Arthur's named Amy told him where he could possibly be, in a place called Odaiv's Lair, she told the location to Arthur and Ethan and wished them good luck before leaving. Amy was a pretty girl, although her style was kind of crazy girl. Ethan and his friends got together. With Fenrir was also a girl all hooded, wearing a wide-brimmed hat, sunglasses and a black parasol, even though the afternoon sun was practically harmless... apparently that girl had a certain skin problem that made her impossible. from being exposed to sunlight, her name was Katy something. Unfortunately Ethan couldn't see if Katy was a pretty girl or not, size was the girl's disguise completely dressed in black.
"The Odaiv g**g" said this girl, Katy, "not many people respect them here, they are, you might say, one of the weaker gangs. Yet your friend is only one, they are many. I can call some members of my club to help and..."
"No, Katy" Fenrir said "thank you, but Jack is our friend, that's our problem. Besides, there's no time, the guy must be in trouble at this hour."
"Fine, I'm not calling my guys, but you can't stop me from accompanying you in this business."
Fenrir smirked at that.
"All right then, let's follow the recommendations we've had and head to this Odaiv Lair," Ethan said. There were the Six Warriors, with the exception of Jack himself, and Guardians Victoria, Stanis, Marcus and Seraph, plus this girl Katy and Billy. "Our task is to rescue our impulsive friend Jack, who's with me?" Ethan raised his fist, his friends did the same, and then roared bravely. A battle was approaching.
