Chapter 7:Luna's ceremony

The park house was filled with different werewolves from the Moonnight pack and also some human friends that know about them, mostly top politicians.

Some were outside the pack house transforming into their wolf form, running and playing around while others were chatting.

“Mia is so lucky. I wish i am alpha Adam's mate, he is every woman’s dream and he is so gentle but is it me or he looks angry,” a woman whispered to her friends.

“Can you blame him? His mate is the pack w***e, even my mate used to sleep with her before we met.” Another female wolf replied with disgust all over her face, and they continued to gossip.

It the luna's ceremony where Mia will finally be crowned the female alpha, the pack members were excited about finally getting a luna, while some were gossiping and feeling bad for Adam.

Mia was among the other female wolves looking pretty and bragging about being luna.

“There will finally be a change in the old fashion way we do things in this pack” she told the ladies and they all burst into laughter.

A very angry Adam was sitting with his parents drinking from an ancient cup that looked like it was carved from a skull.

He could hear about Mia’s brag even though he was sitting really far from her, she was his mate and it made the wolf hearing just so strong especially because he was also the alpha, he looked really pissed.

“I’m getting married to the pack w***e, the moongoodess just has to do me this dirty.” He thought, shaking his head.

A hefty looking man, at least 7 ft tall walked in through the door, his green eyes searching through the crowd in a hurry. Adam spotted him first, and quickly whispered into his father's ear and walked toward the man.

The man bowed immediately he saw Adam, and they both walked into the woods away from everyone.

“Any good news?” Adam asked when they were deep into the wood and sure no one was listening. “Yes alpha, I found her.” The man replied, sounding proud of himself.

Crossing his arm on his chest Adam smirked.

“Listen to this,” the man said and played the Raina voicemail message he had recorded.

“Er, erm… hello, it's Raina we met about a month ago at Fun Garden, I was really hoping we could meet and talk about something important, so please call me back, Bye.” Raina's voice sounded through the phone, while Adam listened attentively, smiling sheepishly as he heard Raina's voice.

“Alright, send me her number.” He said immediately he heard the beep.

“Hope no one else knows about this?” he paused and asked in his alpha tone.

“Erm… no alpha.” The man replied after hesitating.

Adam paused again for a while and stared at the man deeply. “I will reward you greatly for this,” he said, tapping the man's shoulder before walking back to the party.

Once it was the full moon Adam's father moved outside and rang what looked like a gong.

“It's time,” he announced. All the wolves moved outside forming a circle with Adam parent, Adam and Mia at the middle.

“Spirit of the wolves, ancestors of our pack, we are gathering here tonight to crown our beloved Mia, the luna of the moonnight pack as the mate chosen for our alpha Adam by the moongoddess. We pray their love be the guiding force in their life, we pray their regime bring peace, love, and unity among the wolves, their love be pure and their bond be unbreakable.” Joe, Adam's father chanted, lifting a bottle filled with sacred oil.

Everywhere became silent, cracking of bones were heard as everyone changed into their wolf form except Adam’s parents.

Adam and Mia wolves faced each other and stared deeply into each other's. wolves eyes.

Joe applied the sacred oil on their foreheads with his thumb, before the wolves jumped into each other.

Adam Wolf was happy he finally got his mate and was about to mark Mia when his human form suddenly started struggling to resurface.

Adam and his wolf struggled and caught everyone's attention.

His father and Leland quickly form a subtle barrier around him as his wolf power raged, threatening to disrupt the ceremony.

“Control the wolf,” his father whispered and struggled to pin the big wolf down with the help of leland making it easier for the human form to take control.

After the whole drama, everyone was calm and the couples changed into their human form.

Adam's mother stepped out with the bottle of the sacred oil in her hand and prayed for the mates

“May the luna and alpha love continue to grow stronger with each passing moon, may the moongoddess give them strength to lead the pack and hold themselves.” She prayed while applying the oil on their human form forehead like her mate did.

Everybody changed into their human form and the pack erupted in cheers and applause before moving into the house for the party and to feast.

Adam managed to move outside among the crowd, he moved deep into the wood for the noise to fade and dialed Raina's number but it went straight to voicemail.

“Hi, Raina, I got your message, and I’m sorry it took me a while to reply. I am out of town like I told you, I don’t know if you remember,” he chuckled and rubbed the back of his head.

“Anyways I will be in Oxtown in a few weeks and we can meet. I hope everything is okay with you, I will actually love to meet you again, so please drop a message for me when you are awake and I will call you back.” He said, and sat down on a small rock smiling for a while before going back into the party.
