As we got closer to where Axel said the body of the witch should be, I can't help but hold Zia's hand just a little tighter and to hold her a little closer. The look on Alex's face spoke volumes about how gruesome this must have been. Some small part of me hopes she isn't there, while the other will be glad that her meddling will be over if she is. Approaching a rather large cave, Axel stops at the entrance and took a breath, something I didn't have to do because I could already smell death in there.
