He couldn’t recall the first time he’d noticed that the high concentration of people and close-cut hedges was starting to get on his nerves. Then one day, he’d decided to take a few days of vacation in his old Scots granny’s house, where he’d intuitively expected a lower concentration of humans, versus a higher concentration of rabbits and foxes.
