CALISTA.
Today feels like a dream. A dream that I knew would come, but never really believed would finally come true.
I stand at the altar, wearing a white wedding dress that feels heavier than it should.
Every second seemed to slow down, as if time itself wanted to give me a chance to remember all the details-the scent of the flowers, the hopeful eyes, and of course, the face of Sean who now stood before me.
His strong hand grasped mine gently, as if he knew how much I was trembling. I didn't know what was more nerve-wracking-realizing I was about to say lifelong vows in front of God and family, or seeing Sean's eyes filled with all sorts of feelings that I had a hard time expressing.
I could feel the tremors of emotion in my chest, and even though I was ready, there was a part of me that felt scared. Afraid of not being able to fulfill the promise I was about to make.
The moment my gaze met Sean's eyes, all that anxiety evaporated for a moment. His soft, loving eyes, even though there was a hint of nervousness there, gave me strength.
I knew he was feeling heavy too, because this wasn't just a wedding. It was a commitment to support each other, take care of each other, and grow together in a faith greater than anything we could have imagined.
"Calista," the pastor's voice drifted softly between us, making me refocus on this moment. "Do you accept Sean as your husband, to live with him in this marriage, to love and honor each other in joy and sorrow, in health and sickness, and to be faithful to him for the rest of your life?"
I took a deep breath, the sound almost caught in my throat. All the mixed feelings suddenly flooded my heart. I looked at Sean with determination.
"Yes, I accept Sean as my husband."
His gentle gaze turned into a small, sincere smile. I could see how deep his love for me was, and I knew right then, I felt the same way.
This wasn't just a promise for the future, but also an acknowledgment of the past we had been through together—the hardships, joys, and everything in between.
The priest continued, and now it was Sean's turn to say the vows.
"Sean, do you take Calista to be your wife, to live with her in this marriage, to love and honor each other in joy and sorrow, in health and sickness, and to be faithful to her all the days of your life?"
Sean looked at me with eyes full of seriousness. "Yes, I accept Calista as my wife."
With those confident words, I felt as if the world stopped for a moment. I knew those words were more than just a promise; they were a commitment that we would hold for the rest of our lives. We had promised to love each other, not just in happy times, but also when the world felt heavy and tested us.
The priest began the ritual, blessing the rings we placed on each other's fingers. I felt the coldness of the metal, but it also felt like a symbol of all the hopes and dreams we would realize together.
Sean grasped my hand tightly, as if to say that he would always be there, no matter what happened.
When the priest finally said the words I had been waiting for, "By the power vested in me by the church, I pronounce you husband and wife."
I felt my whole body like it was released from the burden that bound it. This wasn't just an event. This was the beginning of a new life, of a new family, of the journey we would go on together.
And when Sean leaned down to kiss my lips, I felt all the anxiety and fear disappear. We had not only promised each other to live together, but also to grow together-in faith, in love, and in everything that was to come.
I felt like a home that had found its place. Next to him, I felt complete, felt like this was the place I should have gone a long time ago.
"Thank you for choosing me, Sean," I whispered softly after we broke away from the kiss, looking up at him lovingly.
He just smiled, his eyes sparkling. "I should be the one thanking you, Calista. I'll never regret it."
And with that, we began a new journey, as husband and wife-always together, complementing each other.

After a wedding filled with emotion and happiness, I was finally able to sit with Sean on the balcony of our bridal suite. All the noise had died down, the guests had gone home, and it was just the two of us, enjoying the quiet peace of the night.
The cool night breeze touched my skin, and although it felt like I had just been through a series of very big events, there was a feeling of lightness in my heart.
I looked over at Sean, who was sitting next to me, smiling broadly. In the dim moonlight, he looked so calm, yet I knew that both of our feelings were rumbling silently.
"So, this is what it's like..." I said in a low voice, trying to break the comfortable silence between us.
Sean turned to me, his eyes sparkling with happiness.
"This feels... amazing," he replied, his tone full of meaning. "I've never felt more right in my life than when I saw you at the altar."
I smiled, my heart beating faster just hearing his words.
"I feel that way too, Sean. But..." I paused for a moment, stealing glances at the ring on my finger that I had just put on, and I could feel the weight of the promise that was there.
"It's not the end, right? I mean, it's just beginning, and we have a lot to live for together."
She nodded, taking my hand and clasping it gently. "Of course, Calista. This is just the beginning, and I'm ready for everything that's to come. We'll do it together, just like we promised."
There was something in the way he said it-full of conviction, as if nothing could stand in our way.
I felt safe, like I had found someone who would not only accompany me in life, but also see me through every challenge, every happiness, and even every sadness.
I came a little closer, looked down, and he did the same, so that our lips finally met in a soft kiss filled with happiness. That kiss felt like more than just a wedding celebration. It was a kiss that expressed everything that words could not.
When we parted, I looked at his face that was now closer, his eyes that were warm and full of love.
"I feel like this is my home, Sean," I said softly, almost not believing the words as they slipped from my lips. "I feel like I've found the right place, the place where I belong."
Sean smiled, looking at me softly. "I feel the same way, Calista. With you, I feel like everything I've ever done in my life has brought me here, to this moment."
I stared at him for a while longer, feeling full of emotions that were hard to explain.
How could I feel so connected to someone so deeply, even after all the journeys we had been through?
I could feel how our lives would continue to evolve together, becoming one, in ways greater than anything I could ever imagine.
"So, what do we do next?" I asked, a chuckle escaping my lips.
Sean looked at me seriously, his eyes filled with enthusiasm. "Next? We live this life, Calista. With love, with challenges, with everything. We live it together."
I laughed softly, feeling the peace flowing through me. "We're going to be okay, aren't we?"
"Yes, we will," she replied with confidence. "Always."
And there, in that night, with the sound of the wind and the soothing gurgle of water in the distance, I knew we would face anything together.
Sean and I, one step closer to the life we dreamed of—the life we chose to live, with a love and commitment that would never fade.

I never imagined I'd be in a room like this—filled with people in expensive suits, carrying themselves confidently as if the world was in their hands. The air was cold, not because of the temperature, but because of the serious aura surrounding the conversations within.
I glanced at Sean who was standing next to me. He looked so calm, so comfortable in this place. His black suit fit perfectly, and the way he spoke to the people around him showed how respected he was. But what fascinated me wasn't how people looked at him, it was how he looked at me-with that smile that always made me feel like I was the only important person in this room.
"Calista," Sean said suddenly, breaking my reverie. He turned to a middle-aged man with a friendly face who had just approached us.
"I want you to meet someone."
I took a deep breath, trying to muster up the courage. The man wore a dark gray suit, his tie was neat, and the look in his eyes was sharp but not intimidating.
"Calista," Sean said, introducing me with a proud smile on his face.
"This is Mr. Harrison, one of our most important business partners."
I extended my hand, trying to mimic the professional demeanor I'd seen at events like this.
"Nice to meet you, Mr. Harrison," I said in as formal a tone as possible.
The man shook my hand warmly. "Nice to meet you too, Miss... or should I say Mrs. Sean?" He smiled broadly, his tone joking but still polite.
I chuckled, looking at Sean who smiled back. "Calista will suffice, Mr. Harrison."
Sean added, "Calista is my life partner, and an amazing entrepreneur. She just opened her first restaurant, and I'm sure one day her name will be known throughout the city."
I felt my face heat up at his words. There was both pride and nervousness in hearing him speak like that in front of important people.
"Oh, is that so?" asked Mr. Harrison in an interested tone. "That's interesting. The culinary world needs people who take risks. What is your restaurant concept, Ms. Calista?"
I tried to keep my tone calm as I answered. "We focus on local dishes with a modern twist, Mr. Harrison. The goal is to create an authentic yet innovative dining experience."
He nodded, an impressed look on his face. "That's a good idea. The business world always needs innovation, no matter the field."
The conversation continued, and I found myself relaxing more and more. Sean stayed by my side, supporting me whenever I started to feel hesitant or lost for words.
He introduced me to several other business contacts, each with a proud smile that never faded from his face.
That night, I felt like a part of his world-a world that felt foreign at first, but slowly became a place where I felt valued. Sean not only introduced me as his partner, but also as someone he was proud of, someone he believed could stand on equal footing with him.
When the event was finally over and we left the room, Sean grasped my hand tightly.
"You did well," he said with a small smile.
I turned to him, feeling relieved and proud all at once. "I'm just trying to survive in a world that's obviously far from what I'm used to."
Sean chuckled softly. "And you did it perfectly. I knew you'd steal their attention, Calista. Just like you stole mine."
I smiled, feeling the immense love and trust flowing from him. That night, I knew it wasn't just Sean who was proud of me-I was starting to feel proud of myself, too.
