Episode 15: Pack Training

-Claire’s POV-

It felt good waking up beside Blake who’s still sleeping. I sighed just by thinking that I must leave tonight to go to Withry Valley. I don’t know up to when I need to stay in there to get my ancestor's book and gather enough information about our enemy. I gave Blake a good morning kiss on his lips and went straight to the bathroom to take a bath. Unfortunately, because of what happened last night, I didn’t get the chance to join the training with Jace. And I am not missing the morning session today.

After taking a nice warm shower, I went to my cabinet to get my workout Capri leggings in spandex that has a beautiful tricolor design of gray jasper with contracting details on the waist and bottom. This literally exposed my curves from waist to my legs. I decided to pair it with my black Criss cross sports bra with lift support that exposed quite a view of my b****t.

I decided to do a ponytail today for my hair so that it will not go to my face during training and put on my pink rubber shoes. As soon as I finish, I went out to the bedroom just to see Blake looking at me and gave me a smirk. I didn’t mind him; I went to my side table to get my phone and Bluetooth earphones.

“I will be with Jace today for training. Did you have a good sleep?” I asked

-Blake’s POV-

“What are you wearing? Your b****t is quite exposed, can’t you just wear a t-shirt or something?” I didn’t let Claire respond

“All boys will definitely watch you while you train with your clothes!” I said while my wolf growls.

“I am there to train, and besides, this is my training clothes ever since…why are you so possessive! “I leaned down and gave Blake the sweetest morning kiss before I left him, not waiting for him to respond.

“Will be done before lunch, let’s have lunch together so we can discuss. Love you, babe! Eat your breakfast”

Claire left the room and I was still stunned by her beauty…Just by thinking that other wolves will be there in the training, I didn’t waste any time to prepare myself to be right next to Claire. And yes, in 5 minutes, I was done and headed to the training ground.

As expected, all eyes are on Claire and I let my wolf howl that made everyone look at my direction. They immediately focused their attention on their training when they saw me looking at them one by one. I noticed Claire doing some warmup exercises with other she-wolves before the actual combat training with Jace. Her body is sculpted perfectly, I suddenly felt the urge to hug her tight so we can both leave and just go back to our room. As she noticed my presence she stopped with her stretching and approached me.

“All the she-wolves are looking at you and they can’t focus Blake!” I can sense how irritated Claire is as if she wants to claw the she-wolves’ eyes one by one so they will stop glaring at me.

“Didn’t notice that, I can see all of you doing a great job with your stretching before combat” I said, then I notice the warriors of the pack looking at Claire again…

“You are becoming the Eye Candy of the Warriors, that’s what I can see because of your training clothes. Will probably lose some of them if they continue doing that because I might kill them first before the enemy!” I smirked and made a growl once again to let them know that Alpha Claire is mine!

I pulled Claire near my body to smell her and sniff her neck. She smells so good!

I will leave you to Jace, continue what you need to do. I'll be back before lunch, I just need to meet with the Lucid Pack to give them some briefing.

-Jace’s POV-

“Hey, you two, cut it off! We’re here for training!” I shouted so we can get started with the combat training.

“Alpha Claire, I will let you do the honor of the initial defense combat, I can act as the enemy and will attack you from behind so they can see how to defend from that scenario”  I saw Claire nodded and I started to position myself for the attack.

“I want you to attack me in the most unexpected way possible and hit me as hard as you can, do not hesitate,” I told Jace as I prepare myself.

-Third-person POV-

Everyone stopped at what they're doing and focused their attention on the defense combat scene that Jace and Claire re-enact to the she-wolves. This is critical for defense so even the pack warriors stopped whatever they are doing to see how their Alpha will defend herself from Jace.

Jace is taller than Claire, he is considered as the 2nd best warrior of the pack so it will be interesting to see the Alpha defend herself from the pack general.

Claire is facing away so Jace reached around and slip his fingers into her cheeks and pull hard. This allowed Jace to control Claire from head to a degree which can incite panic and hurt. He is careful to avoid Claire’s teeth since this can backfire quickly to him. As he was about to use his knee strike to hit Claire on her spines, Claire immediately positioned herself to get her force on her elbow. Knees always lose to elbows when talking about defense. As soon as Claire controlled the situation, she did a combative grappling position like those we see in MMA’s and UFC’s, her goal is to disable the opponent quickly so she can get back on her feet. She then placed her hands in Jace’s neck as if clawing it.

After that scene, everyone clapped their hands at how Claire managed to escape the attack from behind without shifting.

-Claire’s POV-

“I need you to practice that defense as this will become handy. You’ll never know if our opponents will attack face to face or from behind, I want you to grab a partner and practice the defense combat position. Your next training will be the attack combat and joint lock control.”

When the she-wolves started to practice, I went to Jace and sit next to him.

“You did well with the attack, didn’t expect that…I thought you will attack me upfront!” I chuckled

“Anyway, I need to go back and will not be able to finish your training today. Please make sure all she-wolves are prepared. I will be leaving at dawn to go to Withry Valley and I will leave you and Blake in command while I’m away.” I said while looking at the warriors training.

“It’s way too dangerous for you to go there alone, did you discuss this with Blake?”

“I know and I did, but that is the only choice we have for now to get some advantage. It will be far more dangerous if I bring someone else with me, so that is not going to be an option. Regardless if Blake agrees or not, I will go to Withry Valley at dawn and I need both of you to lead the pack while I’m away” I hugged Jace and told him not to worry and I will be back as soon as I get what I need…
