Episode 20: The Book of Spells

-Third Person’s POV-

Claire and Anna are both ready to get the Book of Spells. They started to whisper some spells to make sure that no one will notice them as they approach the castle where Olivia and Luke are. Mikhail, on the other hand, gathered the Vampires and Witches that support him and their goal is to kick out the twins from leading Withry.

One by one they disappeared from the Romanov’s castle and started chaos to divert the attention of their enemy. When Mikhail is all that is left together with Claire and Anna, he gave them a nod telling them it’s time to move.

Claire and Anna chose to go there by not using the portal as that might cause them trouble. They immediately made their way to the castle, as they approach the place, some of the vampires and witches are now fighting with the rogues who are Olivia’s supporters. The witches used their power to help Mikhail and other vampires as more rogues approach them.

As planned, this immediately came to Olivia and Luke’s attention which made them go outside the castle to see what is going on. The twins didn’t bother to join the wrath, rather they quietly watched the chaos.

-Mikhail’s POV-

“You have no right to lead Withry with your selfish intentions Olivia! This is not how we live before and we will not allow you to take over!”

“Oh, hello Father, it’s nice to see you too!” Olivia said sarcastically to Mikhail

“Don’t call me father, you are not my daughter! Everyone, make sure to kill those who support them. They should be punished for all that is happening here in Withry. We had enough and it's time for us to take back what is ours and how The Great Merlin built this for all of us!”

“Not too fast father…No one and I mean no one can ever take my place. It’s either you are with me, or you die! Now, ill let you choose because you are Vlad’s father, that’s the least I can do after killing him, right?” Olivia laughed as hard as she can echoing. And that made Mikhail hate her more.

The nerve of this witch talks about my son’s death as if he is nothing.

“Olivia’s POV-

“You are getting into my nerves Mikhail; this is the last warning I am giving you to either join me or retreat. Otherwise, you will join Vladimir at this very moment” I stared straight back to Mikhail; my eyes turned red as my blood started to boil with all this mess.

“I will repeat myself again in case you didn’t hear me. This is the last warning I am giving you to either join me or retreat. Otherwise, you will join Vladimir at this very moment if you don’t stop this chaos right at this very moment!”

“You can go to hell Olivia; we are not and will never retreat nor join you! We’ve had enough and you need to stop this nonsense! Your family should’ve been punished years ago because of what you did to the great Merlin bloodline! You don’t have the right to even put a step inside the castle that was stolen by your family!”

“Well then, let’s finish this once and for all. I don’t have all the time to play games with all of you!”

The sky went dark, lightning and thunder roars so loud and forays those who fight on Mikhail’s side. One by one, the ray of lightning strikes those who are against Olivia…vampires disappearing turning to dust. Witches are beheaded as lightning sliced their heads from their bodies as Olivia snaps her finger to end this.

Mikhail watched as his opponent slowly crushed everyone who is fighting by his side…

“How is this for entertainment, father? give me a few more minutes will you? let me just finish them all before I kill you with my own hands.”

“Actually, if ever you change your mind to side with us until I finish all your blood-sucking members…I can spare your useless soul. You have a minute to think Mikhail…”

Olivia continued to kill all of Mikhail’s bloodline supporters in the most dreadful way possible that you can imagine.

“Claire’s POV”

Meanwhile…

Anna and I started to move and enter the palace where we need to find the Book that can save us all from Olivia and her twin. We are moving as fast as we can but also gently to avoid any mishaps that will ruin us all. Mikhail and his supporters are buying us enough time to roam around the palace… I cannot thank him enough really.

Plan A is to go straight and find Olivia’s Room where she will most likely keep the book.

I can smell blood as we enter her room, it is dark and cold with candles surrounding her bed. There is a huge painting hanged on the left side of the wall but covered with black cloth. You can feel cold once you step into her room. This was far from how Olivia used to live before. She was a joyful and gentle soul, but detestation and jealousy ate her which made her became what she is right now.

We started to look into places where she might have kept the book, under the bed, within the cushions, drawers, bedside table, closet, pillows, bathroom, and even hidden spaces on her bedroom floor…but we couldn’t find it.

Anna started to use her magic to look within what the normal eyes can see. And she spotted something just right behind the painting hanged on the left side of the wall but covered with black cloth. She removed the cloth and it showed blood splattered on the painting which looks a lot like Olivia’s parents.

I looked at Anna and nodded in agreement that is most likely the place where Olivia is hiding the book. Without hesitation, I slowly removed the painting. There’s a space in between the bricks that can hold a piece of a book but there’s nothing in there. We tried to look if there is anything else hidden because that’s a huge possibility that they will put a spell on it so it will not be easily taken.

However, there is really nothing…

Out of nowhere, Olivia’s twin Luke came into the room holding the Book of Spells that we are looking for. S**t this ain’t good!

“Is this what you are looking for ladies?”  Luke was smiling all ears while showing the books to both Anna and Claire.

I slowly turn my head to where the voice came from and saw Luke looking straight in my direction…
