Episode 13: Pack Meeting

Blue Moon pack won the attack from the rogues. Unfortunately, almost half of the warriors are badly injured, that means another attack like the one they had earlier will mean they don’t stand a chance to win.

-Claire’s POV-

“All the wounded warriors, take them to the infirmary so they will be attended by our medical staffs and doctors, everyone else, I want you all in the Main Lobby of our Pack House after 30 minutes.”

My feelings towards this attack are becoming more vivid, I am sure that there will be another one as Luke disappeared and didn’t even bother to fight anyone from our pack. He just stood there and watch us fight. What the hell is he up to?

Trying to make up some plans in my head while I slowly walk down past the hallway to check Blake and Jace. Both are fine but I can feel they are both physically exhausted because of the rouge attack... I walk straight to the study and saw Blake sitting on the couch with bruises on his body starting to heal. I hugged him tightly and checked if he has anything else aside from the bruises visible.

“You did well today my love, thank you for protecting us” I gave him a kiss on his lips and saw him smile.

Blake pulled me again to give me another kiss while his hand caressed my back. It feels good to be with him and know he is safe.

“Would you like to join me later? I asked everyone to be at the Main Lobby for a Pack Meeting. You don’t have to go and I'll just tell you everything later if you want to rest first” I said while I lay my head on his shoulders.

 “I’m fine my love; we will go together. Just stay here with me so I can rest for a few minutes”

“Is there anything I need to know before we meet the pack?” I asked Claire while rubbing my temple.

“There will be more of this Blake, and we will not stand a chance if another attack will take place soon.” Claire stood up and went to the table to get something from the drawer.

“Remember when I told you last time that I had a dream? I sketched the face of the person called Luke. He resembles a lot like Olivia…and Luke was here when the rogues attack our pack” I looked at my sketch and gave it to Blake.

 “Luke was here? Why didn’t you tell me? He might have attacked you, Claire!” My heart suddenly beat faster knowing that Claire is in danger.

“Hear me out first Blake, Luke didn’t attack, he was here to watch how we fight and observe, same as me. Even if my wolf wanted to shift, I need to follow our plan so I can observe. And I have a feeling that what we had today is just a way for them to check, nothing else. But the upcoming attacks, I’m sure that it will be far more than this.”

“So, what do you have in mind Claire?” Blake asked me as I haven’t told him yet what I’m planning to do.

“I’m going to Withry Valley to spy and if I can get a hold of the Wizards Book of the spell, that can help me to learn more spells. That will be a big thing for us to win this battle…” I paused as I saw Blake’s disagreement on his face.

“Mom taught me a lot, but still it's not enough for me to counterattack what Luke and the other witch will do to our pack. I need to know what they are capable of so I can prepare all of us”

“There is no way that is happening Claire, that’s final… we will think of other ways, but I will not risk you going there to spy and get that book in their territory! It’s too dangerous”

“I am not asking for your permission; I am telling you my plan, so you know… “I didn’t wait for Blake to respond, He is right when he said it’s way too dangerous for me to go there. But this is the only thing I know that can help us win this battle. There’s no but’s only If’s so I need to plan carefully how I will execute the Ifs of the situation. For now, I need to meet the pack…

At the Main Lobby of the Blue Moon Pack Main Building, everyone is gathered to hear what the Alpha has to say after the Rouge attack.

-Claire’s POV-

“There are two things I want to let everyone know after the rouge attack. First, is that we won the attack and we didn’t lose anyone from our pack which is great news. With that, I am grateful and would like to thank you all for protecting each and everyone one of us.” I took a deep breath and sighed before I continued what I was about to say. I know Blake is just behind me and still disagrees with my plan, I can’t blame him…but I need to do what needs to be done.

“Second and the most important why I want all of you gathered here” I look at everyone in the Main Lobby and saw how exhausted they are as well after the fight. I composed myself and continued…

“The attack we had is just the start. There will be more of that soon, when? I don’t know so everyone needs to be prepared. The traitor Olivia has a twin, and he is one powerful wizard. He was here to observe how we fight while rouges were attacking us. After I saw him, he disappeared…”

“As your Alpha, there will be strict guidelines within the pack from this day on. As witches and wizards from Withry Valley can now pass the Blue Mountains, how they do that I have no idea. But that only means one thing, and that is there will be more of them to either attack us or might pretend to be one of us. Blake and Jace will meet you tomorrow to make sure everyone knows what needs to be done. For now, all warriors need to be on full alert, she-wolves age 16 and above will undergo training that will be led by Jace. Blake will lead the warriors to patrol and secure our territory. All the kids, pregnant and elders will be staying at the 2nd basement of the mansion starting tomorrow so I need you to pack your stuff. The 1st basement will be used to store foods, medicine, water, and other necessities we will be needing in case of emergency. Everyone else, take some rest but be cautious and prepared, do not block or cut off your mind link.  Dismissed”
