“Blake, I need you to do me a favor and give this letter to Claire when she woke up. She is exhausted from the initiation and training that’s why I don’t want you to go there and let her rest for now” Julia’s tears fell as I heard her shaky voice as she run her hand through her hair as if having difficulty in finding the right words.

“We finished the rites and Claire is now a complete hybrid. “Julia took the pentagram and gave it to Blake.

“Do me a favor and keep this, if something goes wrong – give this pentagram to Claire, only if needed. The pentagram will increase her power, but it can also lead to her death because her body might not be able to handle all the changes happening to her right now. I won’t be able to give it to her personally, unfortunately…” She gasped and now her tears are now falling endlessly.

“As much as I want to be with her, my time is up…She will not be able to see me once she’s awake. Witches of our kind with the merlin bloodline will vanish after we transfer our power to our descendant. I know everything is ‘need-to-know’ and ‘last minute’ for a reason but this is just killing me just by thinking the pain that Claire will feel after I break this news to her about Julia.

“Hey Blake, have you seen mom?” Julia rushing to me with smile on her face. “You will not believe it, that thing we did there was intense, and my body is still aching but, I’m ok…” My eyes looking from left to right to look for mom.

“Wait, what?!? Did I just hear you say mom is gone? Where did she go?” My mood shift from happy to fear…sadness and pain…

“Read the letter, Claire, I’ll bring you back to your room.” Jake hold my elbow and we walked slowly to my room. I’m shaking, I feel like I’m about to meltdown any moment. I embraced the letter close to my heart and my tears just flow like a river.

It’s been just fifteen 15 minutes but feels like forever when I finished reading…so my mom, knew what will happen to her but she still did that to make sure we have a chance. In less than a month, I lost all the love of my life…I lost my family…

Blake is hugging me, telling me that he will always be there for me no matter what. And Julia did the right thing because at the end of it all, she still needs to transfer her powers to me. But that kills me inside knowing she vanished because of me.

I don’t feel like moving, being close to Blake makes me somewhat feel better just by having our bodies close to each other. My wolf and I, though in pain, we both whispered together “Mate” … and that made me froze for a while, how can that be possible when I already had Kurt as my mate. Well, maybe because Kurt is already dead that’s why my bond to him is no longer visible and strong compared to before. It’s like it vanished out of the blue, and it’s once in a blue moon that you can find a 2nd chance mate… and to think that mine came so fast I didn’t even see that coming.

I grasped his arms as I might lose my balance and opened my mouth to respond to his kiss. My mind is still shaken, but my body is losing control and my heat is taking over…wanting him. This is by far the best that has happened to me in the last month or so…the feeling you can’t even explain how the contact makes you weak, but I can feel my soul is getting stronger.

 “I’m sorry Claire, I shouldn’t have done that”, I felt him made a few steps back and I can feel the heat coming from his body.
