Chapter 2

Layla’s POV

I flung my head up at once and almost broke my neck in the process. For the last one hour I haven’t looked up from the full stack of boring paperwork in front of me.

I always lock myself up in here; my personal office, whenever I feel tight headed and angry, recently I have been feeling that way, I didn’t want anyone around me, so as usual, I choose the seclusion of my office space.

My beta had just whispered something close to my ear and all my senses immediately flew south, “she’s here!” I retorted like a robot, standing up straight and rushing to one of my very enormous windows to check if it was true.

She stood several floors below me, her white skin radiating just like before and more, her hair was tied to the back of her hair, I mentally noted that she didn’t allow them to flow freely like before.

I couldn’t see her clearly and my wolf was getting impatient, “bring her to me now… as fast as you can” I ordered my beta, without sparing him a glance, he bowed and rushed out.

The urgency in my voice was scary but right now I don't mind if I scared him off. I need to see my mate up close, where have she been, how dare she run from me and appear like this without any warning.

I slumped into a black leather cushion, adorned with real gold behind me and held my chest.

The pain that stabbed me there was unbearable, I didn’t think I would feel this much pain at the thought of her.

My thoughts are always filled with her, for the past six years that she left but seeing her today had opened the wounds again and I couldn't bear the pain.

Fresh new wave of anger rushed into my Blood, immediately blocking my ears, I shook my head vigorously Inorder to control myself, I needed to stay sane, I can’t let my wolf out just Like the last time I saw her, I allowed my anger to take control and I ended up chasing her out.

Today we will talk like two normal people. The big wooden door that leads to my office opened and she stepped in, alone. My beta knew better not to disturb us.

She stood right there by the entrance and looked down, she was trembling in fear. I smirked, she should be more than scared, because I had so much in store for her.

“You won’t come in?” I asked, My voice surprised me because it came out stronger than I thought it would. my voice trembled slightly and I forced myself to ask casually without any trace of anger.

She remained quiet without responding to me, I clicked my tongue loudly on my front teeth and walked with a fast stride to get closer to her. I stood a few inches from her and tried again, needing so much for her to say something, before I lost it finally.

I touched my forehead impatiently, then lifted her chin up so she could look directly into my eyes, “where the f**k have you been, who told you to leave! How dare you hide from me Layla?” this time, my voice wasn't so loud but it was deadly.

I knew I wasn't successful in keeping my anger away from my voice this time, because she flinched and her eyes filled with tears immediately.

“Please…. Please Alpha, I need your help” she pleaded softly, finally she spoke! Her familiar voice filled my ears like sweet music and I almost choked her in with a tight hug.

Her voice Reminded me of the few times we had very hot and fiery s*x, we had lots of them in that one week of being together, I couldn't keep my hands and eyes off her.

Gosh she's so beautiful, the memory of her naked and sexy body filled my vision and I gasped, she looked at me at once, her eyes filled with worry but it was very fleeting, she looked away almost immediately.

“I didn't come here to upset you or anything… We…. We need your help, I….i… I’m sorry Alek, but… I” she was talking softly and trembling seriously now, instantly I knew something was wrong, I grabbed her two hands by her side and shook her not too gently.

“Out with it woman!! Don't drive me crazy than you are already doing, are you in danger? What is it '' I rushed so many questions to her?

She licked her red trembling lips and I breathed in sharply, looking away from her face immediately. Her lips called me in for a kiss, but her response jeered me back to reality.

It shook me to my very soul, even my wolf whimpered in pain… “We… We have three sons together… And they have been kidn*pped, just a week ago… I… I didn't find them when I got home… I went to work and… ” I was trying to figure out if she was in a trance or merely spitting out non-sense.

The look on my face was pure shock, laced with a very deep frown, she burst into tears and fell in front of me, the next thing I knew was seeing black.

I reached for her neck and pushed her to the nearest wall, she yelped and tried to push me away, tears escaped from her beautiful eyes but I didn't care anymore.

This time i’m certainly going to kill her then kill myself, let everyone just go to rest. “Tell me it's a lie nefe!... Tell me it's just a prank, children! You took away my children?” I yelled at her like a mad man, at the loudest top of my voice.

She closed her eyes and stomped her feet on the floor repeatedly, immediately I realised that she was in need of air and couldn't talk if I kept holding onto her neck so I let go of her and moved backward a bit.

I needed to stay a few inches away from her so as to stay sane, her scent alone was doing things to my system, now this appealing and exciting news of hers?

He released my neck and I rushed for air, almost choking in my breath as I lunged for air too quickly.

My face must be very red right now, I traced my redneck with my hands, I stumbled away from him at once.

The crazy man will kill me if I stay anywhere closer. Well, what was I expecting after keeping this huge news from him?, who dares to keep his sons away from him?.

I deserved more than death, but he also deserve what I did to him, he ridiculed my love for him and chased me out into shame!

I wouldn't be here if not for my three little cuties.

I rushed forward and held onto his right hand, I will crawl and beg if needed, I must find my sons!

“Alpha I beg you! They are yours!!... I’m sorry for keeping this from you but, they are in danger… I…i.. Your three boys! They are triplets!”

He pushed my hand away almost immediately and walked away to the farthest side of the big office, I rushed after him.

“We will find them for sure, but you will answer for this! Ohooo you will nefe! … Give me all their details, every single thing, including the dumbest thing about them!” He finally got to his big brown table and banged his hands on it very hard.

I gulped and immediately got to giving him every single details about our triplet sons, including their physical features and their hobbies.

I even had to mimic their voices when they talk and cry, he sucked me dry of everything about them, making sure I didn't leave anything out.

After about two hours of talking and explaining, he looked me over and said to me, “you won't move a step from my house!... You won't even smell the exit gates.. Do you hear me nefe?!!”

I eyed him and was about to counter his commanding directions but his next words clamped my mouth shut immediately!

“It's up to you… You decide now, but if you insist on leaving, just forget our sons and go your own separate way forever!... After all you are very good at running and hiding!”
