The Alpha’s Reclaimed Mate

Chapter 1

The rain was drizzling and everywhere was cold, but I didn’t stop walking. I needed to get to my destination as fast as possible, for my son's sake.

The journey to the stone eye pack was three full days and if I stopped now, I won’t be able to make it to Alpha Aleksander estate before nightfall.

I adjusted my jacket and looked up into the sky, I have endured heavier rain, I smiled sadly as I rounded a corner to the next bus station; the last bus which led to the lion's den.

The rain immediately reminded me about the last time I escaped from my pack: stone eye pack and I almost choked on my tears again, I wasn’t always a run away, sneaking in and out like this.

Life was good and I was at peace with my aunty and elder sister, we didn’t have much and we lived far away in a poor environment due to our low level; omega.

But that didn’t stop us from having our fun and peace, we didn’t feel like we were lacking anything as my very dear aunty provided her best for us, I was entirely wrapped with delicate and genuine love.

My aunty Areta, cared for me and took me in from birth, because my parents died and left me alone to the world but my aunty didn’t. God bless her soul, she stood up for me whenever I needed her and took great care of me.

As my scattered thoughts wandered to my dear aunty, my heart yearned to see her as I haven’t set my eyes on her for the past six years, but I couldn't bear to stop or see anybody now.

I will see her after this meeting.

The bus arrived and I jumped up from where the tree I used in resting my back for the past ten minutes, waiting for the bus. Hopping in I sat at the far end as people stared at me with curiosity.

Of course they would stare, I’m back to the pack where I grew up and everyone there knows me, my aunty raised me here and I also attended all of my schools here before running for my life.

I didn’t run because I love running, I had to. It all started when I resumed college for the first day. That day was so chaotic and the days that came after weren't so different at all.

The school is mainly meant for the very rich and influential and I was only opportuned to get in with a scholarship.

I wasn’t even able to make it to my class, I remembered the day like it was yesterday.

Smiling sadly as I recalled how Alpha Aleksander dragged me unexpectedly out of the main corridor and pushed me to the closest wall in public, “mine!”, he growled possessively at me, searching my eyes, with his passion filled ones.

He’s always like that, possessive and dominant, he didn’t allow me to say a word, he kissed me right there and claimed me in front of anyone.

That was my first kiss ever and it was just as I imagined.

Stupid me!. I fell in love immediately and followed him like a sheep to his house. unknown to me, that I had just stirred up serious trouble and a very strong and wicked enemy for myself.

On our way to his house that same day, my very handsome mate confessed to me that he had a girlfriend but for my sake he would cut all ties with her, he confessed his undying love for me and I was blushing all through.

I got to his house and almost entered into the sparkling and tiled ground, I know of his importance and authority, he’s my Alpha pack and everyone knows him and how much of a king he is.

And on several occasions I had also walked past his estates with my sister or aunty as it was in the very centre of the park.

But I never for once imagined it was that grand and magnificent. He held my hand and we walked into heaven together.

Well it didn’t seem like heaven to me anymore, my thoughts about the place changed a few minutes later, but sincerely. my feelings or not, the place is a heaven on earth.

His mother and so called girlfriend were waiting for us at the entrance and immediately they set their eyes on me, they both bounced on me, lashing me with very cruel and demeaning words.

Well, to be sincere my mate didn’t take it likely he supported me and immediately put them in their places. The great Elder Alpha Lucas supported me too.

I remember seeing his little sister smile at me, Barbara smiled and mouthed at me not to worry and just ignore her mother. I felt her strong support for me from where she stood.

My mate took my hand angrily and we both went upstairs to his chambers, I was there all through the day. In no time I forgot about his mother and girlfriend's bad treatment, because he treated me like a queen and made me feel on top of the world.

The next day we went to our house together, he introduced himself to my aunty and took all my belongings back to his estate.

I was floating in the sky for a full week, living with the love of my life and going to school with him, our love was the talk of the town. But it was so short lived.

My mate's mother didn’t give me peace in the house, she was always threatening and nagging me and his so-called girlfriend went to the extent of plotting against me; she lied to my mate and told him that I kissed a strange man.

The strange man even came to the estate to support Alpha Aleksander's girlfriend 's claims and lies against me and just like that, I lost everything.

My so-called mate and love went all crazy at once and he didn’t even listen to me. He rejected our bond publicly and ridiculed me, he even called me cheap and worthless!.

His mother made fun of me and pushed me out of the estate, she made sure her guards pushed me out and made a public show of it.

I went back to my aunty and we cried together, hoping he would come back for me but he didn’t, a few weeks later I packed my small bags and left the pack for good and forever.

It wasn’t like I wanted to leave but I found out that I was carrying my enemies baby; Alpha Aleksander, he might take my baby from me and hurt me again, so I ran.

The bus stopped at once, jeering me back to reality, it stopped at the pack centre; general stop and from my window I sighted some part of the dreaded lion den.

Standing magnificent and beautiful than ever.

The same place that was once my love nest, I sighed in frustration as a cold cloud of fear covered my chest and head. I didn’t know how to face my estranged mate but I had to.

Alighting from the bus, I moved my shoulder to relax my muscles and walked at a fast pace to one of the very glittery and enormous entrance gates.

The stares I got were so obvious and uncomfortable but I ignored them, to hell with whatever their thought was, I wasn’t here for them!
