Chapter 12

Good news His eyes were on me. His brows furrowed before his eyes moved toward Wesley. "Let her go." he said firmly, as if there were no difference between him and Wesley’s height. As if he can land a hit on Wesley’s face. This i***t. "Pierre…" I looked at the woman beside him. Christine and my eyes met before she looked away while trying to convince the latter to just leave there. Wesley sneered at me before he laughed and let go of my hand. He clicked his neck as he turned to Pierre. "I really hate your gut, nerdy. Do you want to fight me, huh?" Wesley said in a mocking voice. "Wesley, stop." I said to stop him from whatever he was planning to do. Even though I want to punch his face, there's nothing I can do, especially Pierre. Wesley knows how to do martial arts and taekwondo, while Pierre doesn't know anything about it. He'll just end up like a smashed tomato. There's no way it would be fair between them. "Oh? now you're siding with him? Why?" He looked back and forth on me and to Pierre. "Don't tell me you change your style, Eris? You want to try nerds and idiots too?" This f*cker. "Shut up. You're the i***t here." I said irritably. He grazed his lips with his tongue as his nostrils became bigger. "Don't tell me, he is the reason why you broke up with me?" Frustration was very evident on his face. "Tell me. Do you like him, huh?" What is this bastard talking about? He is inventing so much senselessnes in his head. "Of course not! Are you kidding mee? C'mon, Wesley. It's because of you and not anybody else." I rolled my eyes at him. I halt a bit when I saw Pierre watching me. Is he mad or what? I couldn't tell with his straight face. "Eris!" Wesley snapped. I looked at him again, angrier than before. "Oh, shut up. Just accept it." I was about to leave since I couldn't endure the attention anymore. But to my surprise, he suddenly punched Pierre straight in the face. Of course, even if Pierre was ready for it, he still couldn't defend his weak and small frame. He flew away. And I could tell how bad it was. Everyone gasped. I heard someone calling for a teacher. "What the f*ck?! Are you out of your mind?!" I said, and I was about to move in Pierre's direction, but Wesley held my arm and stopped me. "Are you really going to choose that pathetic over me? Huh, Eris?" I pushed him with seething anger. I couldn’t believe he was so stupid. "That's it! We're really done! Now leave! I don't want to see your face anymore!" I countered. His jaw clenched before he walked away. Bastard. I ran my fingers through my hair before I looked at Pierre. He was looking at me. My eyes narrowed and shifted to Christine as she held his face without reluctant. I could see that he was a bit shocked too. "You have a black eye!" The woman said with loads of worry. What kind of drama is that? Are they for real? I can just leave before the teachers come, but it's not something that I can just leave. "Let's go to the clinic." I said. They both looked at me. Pierre with his usual face, while Christine with her annoyed expression. I gestured to some of the boys to help the nerd, but he wouldn't want to be touched. He glared at me before he started to walk on his own. So stubborn. I smirked with irritation. I followed him to make sure that he would really go to the clinic. As I saw him enter with Christine, I stopped and turned back to go to the faculty. I need to go there before Wesley. "Where are you going?" I rolled my eyes. "What are you doing? Get in." I said firmly. But a stubborn nerd wouldn't listen. He stepped in my direction. And there, I saw the evidence of Wesley’s punch. Christine was right. He has a black hole in his eyes. His eyeglasses were broken too. And it made me feel a bit…guilt. "Where are you going?" he repeated as he stopped in front of me. I stared down at him. I licked my lips, and I saw his eyes get distracted. "I heard your smart? If you know that you can't fight someone larger than you, then don't say anything. Your arrogance can't do anything." His eyes darkened, and it made me a bit astonished. Now that his eyeglasses were broken, I could properly see his dark and deep eyes. And why didn't I notice that he has long and curvy eyelashes? Even his eyebrows are thick. "Pierre!" Christine and the nurse went to us. His girlfriend didn't look at me, but I could feel that she was still annoyed. "Let's go. We need to treat your face." How sweet. I looked back at Pierre. He's still staring at me. "Your girlfriend is right. They need to do something about your black eye." His forehead creased, but before he could say anything, Christine pulled him away with a pissed-off face. "Pierre, let's go! We don't want your parents to see that, right?!" I nodded with her before I gestured for him to come with them. As he had already gone to them, I went straight to the faculty. It was a brave move for me. Even though I knew that my father would hear about it, I still told the truth to the faculty. Wesley got a month suspended. I thought it was a good decision because it should be. However, that simple action I took would trigger my father's decision. That I couldn’t believe he could just decide without telling me. "What is the meaning of this?" I said when I saw Pierre with his parents and my father in a serious conversation. I just got home from my private classes, and that's what greeted me. Pierre looked at me with a serious face. I couldn't see the black hole in his face anymore. It all healed. Well, it's been days since I last saw him. As soon as my father called for what I did, he grounded me. He didn't even let me go to school, so I just attended a special online class. "It's good that you're here now so you can hear the good news." my father said. My heart thudded as I sense it wouldn't be the same for me. "You are going to marry the son of Herbert Salazar, after your debut."
