Chapter Forty - I’ve Done Worse For Less
ALLY POV Rounding the corner to the shop, I see that the door is open. I run inside and see that the whole place is a disaster. Crystals and glass shattered everywhere, books open and on the floor, and Martha is nowhere to be found. I hear a scream, and without sparing a glance to Alex or Peter, I take off outside. Yelling and struggling grunts lead me around the corner and into the alley a few doors down. The first thing I see is Martha being held up about two feet off the ground, with the same man from my vision holding her up by the neck. As I jump in to stop him and free Martha, the man is thrown back before I can even touch him and Martha shrinks to the ground passed out.
