“You learn it and teach me what to do,” Sar retorted half in jest to see what she’d do and half serious hoping to get out of what he thought was a waste of good training time. Mim-Cri took back the chain whip, proceeded to knock Sar’s feet from under him in less than two minutes and handed it back to him.
“I did,” she told him, “that’s why I’m still alive. Now do as you’re told and you might stay alive, too.” She took his other weapons away from him turned back on the holographs. They continued on for days, breaking only to eat and sleep. Sar had trouble with the chain whip. He hit himself more than his opponents.
