Chapter 20 Sebastian At nine thirty o'clock I rang Rebecca's doorbell. I was holding a bouquet of flowers that I had bought in the hope of sweetening her a little. I was troubled by her reaction; she had rejected me after a passionate night spent together. I was not used to rejection; it had never happened to me.
