Hiding

Soraya didn't know what to expect now. Everything has happened and time can never be turned back. Right now the only thing she wanted was the strength to face a seemingly endless problem. "Let's go home! You go to the cafe parking lot first, I'll catch up with you in a moment!" said Robert. "You want to go somewhere?" "No! I just wanted to make sure no one saw the two of us going out together. You wouldn't want any new rumors about you saying that you went on a date with your professor right? That's why I'll stay here until you're in the car! " "Ok!" Soraya said as she walked away towards the cafe parking lot where Robert's car was parked. Soraya walked carefully, looking around to make sure no one was in sight. After finding Robert's car, Soraya immediately opened the car and got inside, waiting for Robert to come after her. Soraya took a deep breath and exhaled slowly. Although she was a little relieved that she no longer had to face the hate speech directed at her on campus, but she had to return to preparing with much worse fear. The house where she had to stay until the investigation into Kerry Smith's death was over was far more terrifying. Soraya really hopes that this problem can find a bright spot. The only thing that can prove that she is a victim of violence and abuse is the existence of Joshua Peterson who is the mastermind of all the problems that occur. "That bastard, where is he now? Why has he disappeared? Did he run away and hide somewhere knowing the police were after him? Oh my God, I hope he's found soon because that's the only way I can get rid of all charges against Kerry's death. Colin Morgan, why didn't he want to go to the police? Wasn't Josh nearly beaten to death? Why does he insist on that? What really happened between him and Josh?" Her head kept thinking about unresolved problems and this was all because she allowed a crazy psychopath to control her life. Soraya deeply regretted her decision at that time, preferring to remain silent after all the terror and threats she had received. Her bed was soiled, her clothes were deliberately torn and covered in mud, all of that she could use as strong evidence to drag the crazy man to prison. But it was too late, there wasn't a single piece of evidence left because she had already eliminated her. "Damn, how stupid am I? Why didn't I report it right away? Was it because he threatened to kill me?" She muttered. She felt very frustrated. However, suddenly her eyes fell on the figure of a young man who was sneaking around in the middle of the parking area. The man was wearing a hat and sunglasses. His face was not clearly visible, but the clothes he was wearing were exactly the same as the ones Colin Morgan was wearing earlier. "What is Colin? But what is he doing here? Why are you sneaking around beginning?" She thought. Soraya tried to observe from inside the car and she felt that the young man seemed to be stalking something. He was carrying a small camera in his hand, he looked restless. Soraya did not know what the young man was doing. He seemed to be checking things out and when it started to get quiet he crept towards the car Soraya was ride and he took several pictures with the camera in his hand. Realizing that she might be being photographed by someone from campus, Soraya immediately looked down and tried to hide. Soraya felt very uneasy, she knew something was wrong. He is being followed and some may already suspect a connection between her and Robert Stanley. It's possible that the person was trying to take pictures and spread rumors about their relationship. At her hiding place, Soraya peeked every now and then to make sure that young man was peeking into the car. But just as she was worried, the young man started to approach the windshield and tried to peek inside. Soraya shivered in fear. She didn't understand if anyone could go this far just to annoy other people. After she continued to hold her position, Soraya looked back at the mirror and the young man was gone. Draaappp... Someone opened the car door and sat in the driver's seat. Soraya's heart almost jumped out of her body when someone suddenly walked in. "What are you doing?" Hearing Robert's voice, Soraya immediately opened her eyes and lifted her head. "Mr Stanley?" Her voice trembled. Cold sweat dripped down her body. Soraya felt very scared and suffocated. "What happened? Why are you hiding?" "Someone tried to peek into the car and take a photo! Someone must have suspected our relationship! What should we do?" She said panicked. She felt her life was coming to an end. Unlike what she expected, Robert Stanley actually looked very calm as if she was not bothered at all by Soraya's complaint. "Really? In that case, he's probably the same person I've caught several times standing in front of my house." "Really? Standing in front of your house?" "Yeah, he's wearing a hat, sunglasses and a backpack? He looks like an amateur journalist taking sneaky photos." "True, but how can-" "I don't know, but I'm sure he's the same person as the owner of the website and the author of the article I'm dealing with." Soraya was silent, she felt very shocked. Maybe Robert was right if that guy she saw earlier was the mastermind behind the mysterious website. "Wh-who is he? What exactly is he doing?" "I don't know, I don't really care either. Have you seen his face?" "No, but-" Soraya was silent, she could see the scar on the corner of the man's lips. Exactly the same as Colin Morgan's wound. Soraya had punched him until his lips were bleeding and it looked exactly the same. "No way, it can't be him, right?" "Who do you mean?" "Colin Morgan, the guy were with me in the dormitory yard. I remember the clothes he was wearing. Exactly the same model and color, the cut on his lips too. That must be him, I'm sure, he's the author of that article!" "That still can't be confirmed. We must have solid evidence!" "But, I saw him take pictures of this car a few times and he also tried to peek inside right before you got in the car. Didn't you run into him?" "No! I don't see anyone around this car!" "But there's no way he could run so fast, you must have at least seen him run or-" "Or what?" Soraya was unable to continue her sentence. Her voice seemed to be caught in her throat. She shuddered, feeling a very strong strange atmosphere. "If you don't see him running away from this car, that means he's hiding behind this car when you get close!" ***
