"Mrs Carla...! Help! Help me!" The panicked Soraya immediately ran in the middle of the corridor.
Her panicked screams made the residents of the dormitory rush out of their rooms. Mrs Carla who also heard Soraya's screams immediately approached her who was already covered in cold sweat with a shocked face.
"Soraya? What's wrong? What happened? Why are you screaming?" Asked Mrs Carla.
"Kerry she- she's passed out in her room! I beg you to call an ambulance! We have to get her to the hospital!"
"What? My God, what happened?"
Soraya, Mrs Carla and several students living in the dormitory rushed to room 103, where Soraya and Kerry shared a room.
Just as Soraya said, Kerry was lying on the floor very weak and covered in blood on her hands and clothes. A man called an ambulance which arrived within five minutes. After before, they tried to stop Kerry's bleeding until the ambulance arrived.
After the ambulance and medical personnel arrived, Kerry was carried on a stretcher to the ambulance. Soraya could see that Kerry was still half awake and she seemed to know what was going on.
"Josh... Josh..." Her weak voice called out the name of her absent lover.
Seeing Kerry's condition, Soraya felt guilty. She thought she should be an angel holding herself back, she thought she should give in and forgive Kerry for trying to apologize to her.
Since she is Kerry's roommate, Soraya must come with Mrs Carla to accompany Kerry at the hospital until her family can be contacted. Soraya didn't mind it, but she was afraid that if Kerry's family asked what really happened, Kerry decided to hurt herself.
"Soraya, what exactly happened? Do you know anything?" Mrs Carla asked as their eyes fell on the doctors and nurses who had entered the ICU.
Soraya gasped, she felt very nervous. To be honest, she wasn't sure she wanted to tell Mrs Carla that she and Kerry had an argument before Kerry decided to hurt herself. Soraya hesitated, contrary to her previous belief in asking Mrs Carla to give her an empty room she could occupy.
"No, I don't know. Suddenly, when I was go into the room, I saw Kerry already lying on the floor." She answered doubtfully. She couldn't believe that she had made up a lie to cover up the real problem.
Soraya lowered her head, trying to hold back her trembling hands. Beside her, Mrs Carla sighed and rose from her spot.
"Okay, I'll try to contact Kerry Smith's family. Do you have the phone number of her family member? Her parent or sibling, maybe?"
"No, I don't know!"
"Okay, I'm going home to get Kerry Smith's family number to call and ask them to see her. But for the time being, can you stand guard here? Do you have class tomorrow morning?"
"I have class at nine. But it's okay, I'll be here until her family comes."
"I see, then I'll excuse myself. If you need anything, please call me anytime. Do you understand?"
"Yes."
Mrs Carla left Soraya sitting alone in the waiting room. When Mrs Carla was right in the corridor of the sick formula, Soraya could see a man walking towards her and running into Mrs Carla.
"She?" Soraya was stunned. The man standing in the corridor was Joshua, Kerry Smith's boyfriend.
Josh seemed to talk something with Mrs Carla for a few minutes, until Mrs Carla walked away again after the conversation.
Soraya had no idea what they were talking about. But what made her uneasy was that the man was walking towards her and it scared her to deal with him.
Josh stopped right in front of the door to the room where Kerry was being treated. Soraya was silent with her head down. She had absolutely no intention of speaking or explaining anything to her.
After three minutes of silence, Josh turned to Soraya and looked at her. He seemed to be aware of the fear Soraya was feeling right now.
"Don't you have anything to say to me? Hum, b***h!" Said Josh.
His deep voice sounded very frightening. This was the first time Soraya had heard this man speak and just one sentence was enough to frighten Soraya even more.
Soraya fell silent. She didn't want to say anything and she didn't know what to say either. She didn't know this man at all for whatever reason.
"You must have said something that saddened her. Didn't you?" That man asked again and Soraya remained in the silence she created.
"Hey, slut! Why are you so quiet? How long are you going to keep your rotten mouth shut? Do I have to rip your mouth out to get you to talk?" Josh uttered a sentence that sounded very cruel and of course
it made Soraya tremble.
Soraya didn't know, why she had to deal with them. She felt she had done nothing wrong since she decided to study in this city and live far from her family.
Tears welled up in her eyes. Soraya's face was downcast, unable to hold back her tears any more. Drops of water fell from her eyes, hitting the back of her hand that was pressed against her trembling knees.
Soraya tried to cry silently, but she was too scared to look brave in front of someone much stronger than her.
"Kerry is a very good girl, she has never hurt anyone. That's why I swear, I will definitely teach that bastard a lesson who has made her suffer!"
"I don't know anything! I-I don't-" Her sentence was cut short when she realized that she had just said something she shouldn't have said to this man.
Josh smirked, he felt the energy suddenly enter his body. The sensation that made him very excited when he saw a defenseless victim cowering in fear as if begging for mercy from him.
Josh walked over to Soraya and stood right in front of her. Soraya kept her head down. She didn't want to see how scary the man in front of her was.
"Hey, look at me!" Said Josh. He said it as if giving orders to Soraya.
However, Soraya who was crying had no intention of taking advantage of Josh's orders. Even though she tried to strengthen her heart, she still couldn't imitate Kimberly's brave and forthright attitude.
Josh who was getting annoyed immediately grabbed Soraya's chin and forced the poor girl to look into those horrible eyes.
"Tsk, you're much prettier than my woman. Look, I don't care what you think, but I have to tell you that you're in very big trouble. What happened to Kerry, it must be your fault. I'm sure you made it up. Tch, you damn w***e! I will make you receive a very severe punishment. Don't tell this to anyone, do you understand?" He said before leaving. Leaving Soraya frozen in silence.
From a very great fear, turned into an unbearable anger. Her tears flowed harder. She didn't know that she had to experience this kind of success because of a mistake she never made.
"Why is all this my fault? Why should I be responsible? It's not fair, it's not fair."
