Soraya and Diana fell silent. They did not expect that Kimberly would immediately reply to their questions with a very deadly attack. Diana clicked furiously, Soraya knew Diana was starting to lose words. They should have known from the start that they could never argue with Kimberly.
Soraya sighed, she knew that she couldn't give up now. She had to straighten out Kimberly's bad rumors so that there would be no misunderstanding and suspicion between them.
"Kim, I think you're right!" She said.
"Sora, what are you saying? Let's just go! There's no point in us staying here!" Diana did not remain silent. She grabbed Soraya's hand and meant to take her out of this room.
"Didn't we still not get an answer from her?"
"But-"
"Soraya, I'm sure this isn't the first time I've said that you are such a naive person."
"Hey Kim, never mind! Stop it!"
"I don't know, but I'm sure this morning I saw you getting out of someone's car and I know whose car it is!" She said. Kimberly smiled sarcastically, making the atmosphere even more tense and dramatic.
Soraya gulped, she was very nervous. She had suspected from the start that perhaps a person or two had noticed she got out of Robert's car this morning. Although she had been very careful, but still this possibility would always happen.
"Soraya, what does that mean? She must be kidding, right?" Diana asked with a confused look. But, Soraya could not answer.
"Wouldn't it be weird if you got out of a guy's car at seven in the morning? I'm sure there's a good chance you'll spend the night with him. Don't you think?"
"Sora-"
"No! You're wrong! It's not at all what you think! I I just- I-" Soraya stopped her speech. She desperately wanted to tell them what had happened, but she didn't have enough courage.
Her face was downcast, tears welling up in her eyes. She knew that in the end she would always be cornered, she would not be able to win against anyone else.
"What's not to like what I thought? I don't understand why you guys can trust someone so easily. You know, Soraya? I'm sure you're not the only woman ever invited to his house, I'm not sure you met him in the road and he gives you a lift. Where did you go so early? Doesn't that mean you were with him all night? Hahaha... geez, I really didn't think you could be tricked by a guy like him. I thought, maybe you're a little different, but it turns out you're the same!"
"Hey Kim, stop that!"
"Why? You still want to defend her? Aren't you mad that she's already one step ahead of you? If I were in your position, I would-"
"You right!" Soraya said. She was desperate, she gave up.
"Hmm? What did you say?"
"You know, Kim? I wish you could just listen to me for a second. Diana and I, we were looking for you not to fight with you, nor to corner you or hurt you. But, if you end up feeling threatened and attack me like this. I'm sorry, because I shouldn't have bothered you with all my curiosity. Sorry, I'm really sorry." She said before finally walking away leaving Kimberly and Diana standing frozen in their place.
Diana sighed and shook her head slowly. She knew herself very well, she knew such a thing would not hate anyone. But Kimberly, she didn't know why she felt that it wouldn't fit.
"I'm also sorry for bothering you. Goodbye! I hope you find a good friend!" Diana walked away with a very disappointed look on her face. She hoped that after this she would not have to deal with Kimberly again.
In her room, Kimberly didn't budge. She felt empty and confused. Seeing Soraya and Diana walking out of her room with disappointed faces, it made her chest tighten.
"Why? Why always me?"

"Sora! Soraya...!" Diana shouted for Soraya who walked down the stairs to the ground floor.
At first Soraya didn't want to turn around, she didn't want to explain anything to Diana about what had happened. However, when Diana touched her shoulder and held her back, Soraya had no choice but to stop walking.
"What happened? Let's find a comfortable place and we talk!"
"No! I just want to go back to my room! I'm sorry!"
"Do you think I'm mad at you?"
"No, I just-"
"You're wrong! Sora, if you do have a special relationship with Mr Stanley, I really don't care! Come on, I just admire him. I'm not really in love with him. So, what are you worried about?"
"I just-"
"Come on, come with me!"
Diana grabbed Soraya's hand and led her to the park in front of the dormitory. They sat on park benches, although Soraya was hesitant at first. But, Diana tried to reassure her that there was nothing to worry about.
They were silent for almost three minutes. Diana was a little hesitant to ask because it seemed that Soraya really didn't want to talk about it. As for Soraya, she just didn't know what to say.
"Are you okay?" Diana asked awkwardly. Soraya nodded slowly.
"Don't think too much about what Kim says, she always speak without thinking about other people's feelings. Very selfish."
"I don't know what she really thinks of me!"
"Did she ever say anything strange to you?"
"Yeah, she said I was a very naive person. I pretended like I didn't understand what was happening. Sometimes I thought she was right, but sometimes I knew I wasn't what she said I was."
"You know what? I just thought Kim was really jealous of you!"
"Jealous? Of me? Why?"
"I heard that she doesn't really get along with her family because she's an adopted daughter."
"Adopted daughter? Really?"
"Yes, at least that's what James' cousin told us at the time. As a child, she lived in an orphanage in this city before being adopted by a family from London. At first, her family loved her very much, but as time went on, Kim's relationship with her adoptive family deteriorates. She often causes trouble at school until she decides to return to this city and go to college.
"I really don't know, she must be feeling really depressed about her condition."
"I also don't understand, no one really knows what really happened to her. She seems to keep a lot of secrets. I know, we really don't have the right to interfere in her life. But, I just think that she is my friend, no matter how stubborn and selfish she is. I just want to make sure she's okay. Especially, since the bad rumors about her started to spread along with the Mr Stanley rumors. That worries me a little."
"You really are very good!"
"Is that true?" Diana smiled as she stifled a laugh. She didn't feel that good.
"I also think that Kim is my friend, even though I don't really know who she is. I just hope she's okay."
