A Dilemma

"Hey, have you guys heard the news? It's really great that Jannet Bouttier was found dead in her car."
"Oh my, how unexpected, huh? Even though the daughter of a rich family, beautiful and has a good future. But her life had to end like that."
"They said she died of carbon monoxide poisoning. But, how was she in her car all night? What was she doing?
"Could it be that she was killed?"
"Or suicide?"
The horrendous news was heard all over again. Not only in the university area, but the whole city kept talking about the news of finding a young woman's body in a car.
Soraya didn't want to hear it anymore. But she couldn't help but have to keep an ear and listen like everyone else does.
In front of her, David was standing in her way, looking up ahead. Soraya frowned. She didn't understand what David was doing.
"What's wrong? What are you doing? I'm going to class!"
"First class is postponed until 10 o'clock, you better come with me!" David said as he grabbed Soraya's hand and led her away to the park in the back area of the Faculty of Arts.
On the park bench, Diana, Kimberly and James were already there and it was clear that they had been waiting for Soraya to come to join them.
"Why are you guys gathered here?" Soraya asked. Meanwhile, Diana's face looked annoyed, unlike Kimberly who actually smiled happily.
"Sora, you've heard the news right?" David asked.
"Of course! A college student who was found dead in a car, right? I already knew. I even saw her body being taken to the hospital."
"Is that true?"
"Yeah, I didn't really see it because the body and face were covered. But, I did ask a reporter. He said it was the body of a young woman."
"Then, what about Mr Robert Stanley? Did you know he was being handed over to the police station?" James asked.
"What? Checked? Why?"
"Of course, because the woman who died was one of his girlfriends!" Kimberly chirped.
"Hey, Kim! Stop it!" Diana annoyed, immediately asked Kimberly to stop.
"Why? Did I say something wrong? They found Jannet Bouttier's car less than 300 meters from the St Louis residential area where our favorite lecturer lives. Haven't you heard the testimony of a close friend of Jannet's? She said that the previous evening Jannet had told her she was going to see Robert. However, after that there was no more news from her until the time her body was found."
"W-wait! What do you mean that woman has something to do with Mr Stanley? Is she his girlfriend?" Soraya asked. She was so curious about this part.
"Are you so curious, Soraya? Didn't I tell you that Robert William Stanley is a scary man. He drives women crazy about him, forces them to satisfy his crazy lusts and then gets rid of them!"
"I think you're going too far, Kim! What really happened is still under police investigation. If you do think that he has anything to do with the case of Jannet Bouttier's death, I hope you keep it in your mind. Because it would be dangerous to share your opinion with other people. Especially in a situation like this." Said David who can always be counted on to be a good mediator.
"David's right, you're too much Kim!" Diana said with a mocking smile.
"Well it's up to you! But, I'm pretty sure that Robert Stanley was involved. This could have been the plan."
"What do you mean?"
"If that's the case, there's a chance that what Kimberly said is true." Said James.
"James? What's wrong? Do you know anything?"
"One of my friends in high school is Jannet Bouttier's cousin who is two years older than us. My friend once said that Jannet had lived with a man who was also an Art lecturer at the University for two weeks. I don't know if that's true or not, but I sure that the lecturer is Mr Stanley."
"But, hasn't Mr Stanley ever denied that he is in a relationship with his students? I've heard that from one of the seniors." Said Diana who was still defending Robert Stanley.
"It's all just his confession, not necessarily true. After all, how could he openly admit that he had an illicit relationship with his student. He would definitely be expelled from the University. I hope you guys don't forget the rumors that he has a s****l perversion terrible!" Kimberly gave a tough enough ultimatum to show that she was on the right side.
As David, Diana and James fall silent and rethink the worst of the common threads from case to case. Meanwhile, Soraya was in a dilemma with her own thoughts.
Sh didn't want to believe it and she hoped that all the bad news circulating about the person she admired was never proven. Soraya firmly believed that Robert William Stanley was a good person, despite the cold look in his eyes and the always cynical and flat expression on his face.
The words that he said that time made an impression on his mind, about the reason why he liked dolls that looked like little children who had pure hearts, without any prejudice against others.
"The porcelain doll is the soul of the child who has a pure heart that's why I really like it."
"I can't believe that Mr Stanley had anything to do with Jannet Bouttier's death. He's a nice guy, I'm sure of it!" Soraya said. She is still and will continue to hold on to her beliefs.
"Soraya, you?" Diana who was deeply moved, was so impressed by her words.
Seeing how stubborn Soraya made Kimberly giggled. She did not expect that Soraya would not waver at all.
"Oh my God, it's really hard to wake up a woman who is in love, huh? No matter how terrible the man she loves is, her eyes have been blinded by love."
