Promise

Soraya didn't really understand her feelings. Although several times she denied her interest in the figure. However, the innuendo she heard from those around her made her hesitate.
"In love? Am I really in love with him?" Her mind with the air she exhaled.
Soraya stopped walking, the longer she began to hesitate to continue this. Her focus began to shift, even though from the beginning her determination to come to this place was to learn to be a great artist.
"No, I can't be like this. My purpose in coming to this place is to study. I want to be a great painter, just like him. Yes, I want to be a great painter like him."
"What are you saying? Great painter?" Asked David who was standing beside her and Soraya didn't even notice his presence.
"David?"
"Why? Don't tell me, you didn't notice me at all!"
"N-no, it's not like that. I was just thinking!"

"Okay, looks like I know what you're thinking." David smiled. He could understand Soraya so easily even though they had not been friends for long.
"Are you quiet psychic?" Soraya asked. Her laughter broke seeing the look on David's face that looked very serious.
"What?"
"Hahaha... I asked, are you a psychic? Because you said you can read my mind!"
"No, I didn't mean anything like that. I can only feel what your current mood is and the problems that seem to be bothering you so much."
"Is that true?"
"Yes! You don't believe it?"
"Uhm...no! I didn't say that, but how did you find out?"
"From your eyes!" David said. He looked into Soraya's eyes gently and for a moment, Soraya felt her heart beat faster.
They stared at each other for 10 seconds, until the moment they realized it. Soraya immediately lowered her reddened face and tried to hold back her awkwardness.
Seeing Soraya looking confused, David thought that he should discuss something else to relieve the awkwardness.
"How about tomorrow? I've already booked tickets to the movie for two."
"T-tomorrow?"
"Yes! Didn't we already plan it?"
"Ah, y-yes you're right! I almost forgot about it. I'm sorry!"
"No problem, I understand. As long as you don't intend to break it promise!"
"Uhm... about that, I was thinking of postponing it." She said doubtfully. Soraya knew this would disappoint David, but her current circumstances didn't allow her to go out to have fun.
David had had this foreboding before that Soraya might break the promise to go out together. Although he should have known, but somehow he still felt disappointed.
"I understand you're having a problem. But I thought if you could go see a movie together, you'd feel better. I want you to be able to forget your troubles a bit."
"Yeah, you're right! But, right now I'm not in the mood to go ability, because of that-"
"Okay, I understand! I can't force you if you don't want to. Then I'll excuse myself, see you later, Soraya?" David said as he walked away.
Seeing David start go away, made Soraya's doubts even worse. She didn't know why she had to refuse David's invitation to go out with him? Even though she had promised before. Not because the problems between her and Kerry were still unresolved. But because of the face of someone who continues to haunt her.
"David...!" Soraya spontaneously shouted for David who was far in front of her.
Hearing Soraya call out to him, David immediately stopped walking and looked back. He saw Soraya's face that looked sorry and felt guilty. It made David feel like he was a bad guy for making a woman feel guilty.
"You called me?" David asked. He wanted to make sure that Soraya had really called him.
Soraya walked over to the unmoving David. With an innocent look, Soraya wanted to convince David that she wasn't a girl who broke promises.
"Let's go tomorrow as agreed!" Soraya said it with a tense expression on her face. It made them look like they were planning a fight, not a date.
"Hahahaha..." David laughed when he saw how innocent and cute this girl was. He could not believe that in modern times there are still such innocent women.
"Why are you laughing? What's so funny?" Seeing David laugh at her made Soraya blush. She felt very embarrassed, especially since there were so many people in this place who might be paying attention to them.
"You're so funny! How could I not laugh? Hahahaha..."
"Stop it! If you keep laughing, I'll completely cancel it!"
"Hahahaha... Come on Miss Chamberlain, don't talk like that! I'm sorry huh? By the way, you look so cute when you're shy like this!"
"You're teasing me, aren't you? You think I can be swayed by such a ramble?"
"Hahaha... geez, you're so fierce, aren't you?"
"It's up to you! I want to go home now!"
"Alright, I'll be waiting for you at the coffee shop across the street at 3pm!"

Soraya again felt something strange when her hand touched the doorknob. She was very sure the door of this room had been locked before she left for campus. But again, this door is not locked.
Soraya had a very bad feeling. It scared her to go inside and look back at the terror of what Josh did to frighten her. Yesterday she had to surrender when her clothes were torn and covered in mud. But today, she didn't know what else she had to give up.
"No, I shouldn't be afraid. If he breaks my belongings again, I'll report him to the police. I don't care!
After mustering up the courage, Soraya opened the door to her room. Her eyes scanned every corner of the room from the front door. But there's something strange, everything is there as before. Nothing was strewn about, but the only odd thing came from Kerry's open wardrobe.
Soraya stepped into the room to make sure that none of her belongings were damaged or lost.
Blaaammm
The door is closed. Soraya gasped when she realized someone was standing behind her. She could feel the chilly atmosphere around her and as she tried to look back. A man's face was visible right next to her.
"Huh...?" Soraya who was surprised, didn't have time to scream when the man covered her mouth.
"Shut up and listen to me! Don't try to scream if you want to survive!"
