Chapter 10: The Luna's Choice
Ella POV
The pain slammed into me like a punch to the gut. I was walking with Nathaniel toward the cars, and then BAM, I was on the ground, clutching my stomach.
"Ella!" Nathaniel caught me. "What is it? The baby?"
"Something's wrong," I gasped. "It hurts so bad."
Harrison was already yelling into his phone. Kane showed up out of nowhere, face tight, and dropped down beside me.
"Get Dr. Sarah. Now!" He hovered, hands twitching. "Ella, breathe with me. Can you do that?"
I tried, but couldn't. The pain was like a monster, tearing me up inside.
"Move!" Nathaniel scooped me up. "I'm taking her to Crescent Moon."
