They embraced without dismounting, White Dove leaning right over her horse's neck to grip him around the waist. They kissed and she looked into her eyes, smouldering as they were with happiness mixed with the sort of affection Noreen used to give him. He swallowed hard. “Anyone follow you?” “There are men on the trail,” she said, gesturing back the way she came with her fingers, “Four of them. They are maybe half a day behind.” Simms chewed at his lip.
