Simms, still in the process of dismounting outside his office, motioned for White Dove to stay saddled. He dropped down. “Mr Simms, I sure am glad you're here.” Simms frowned and took the proferred message. “It's from Glory. Terrible thing. This is the second one. Four hours ago.” Simms read the simple message. Single words, so stark, so telling. 'Gunmen in Glory, stop. Toft killed, stop.
