Chapter 1: Awaken

875 Words
GASP Oh dear, not again. That dream resurfaced, and my stomach churned at the sight of those two lovers kissing. It's like a cliché romantic scene from a Disney princess movie. I find myself reincarnated into the body of a child, armed with limited knowledge about this kid and curse that mischievous gochujang who compelled me to read a seemingly magical book. The whole experience is downright enchanting and has led to my soul inhabiting an unknown child. The putrid odor of deceased rats wafted from the opposite end of the room in the isolated home of the child I now inhabit, whom I've come to know as Charlize. The stench invaded my nostrils, nearly inducing a sense of nausea and prompting the urge to retch. In this world, Not only the Royals who rule but also the saints. And this Empire, I'm currently in is—Imperium De Camelot. The Empire of Camelot was a powerful sovereign that had emerged in the past, long long ago, during the era of wars. It was constructed by King Arthur in partnership with the five powerful families of that century. The Empire was known for its impressive military might, as well as its remarkable leadership capabilities. Camelot had undoubtedly become the most powerful and influential nation that ever existed in the past. The five powerful noble families had a pivotal role in the construction of this empire and its subsequent rise to power. The families that held the most significant influence over the Empire were the Odesial family of the east, the Remorand family of the west, the Eritrea family of the south, and finally, the Eleanor family of the north. How quaint. Even though I don't care about this kid's Background, I have her Memories. The only child of the Duke, Charlize Grace Eleanor. The Eleanor family hailed from the descendants of Duke Perez, the founder of Eleanor. Eleanors were well-known for their ability to manipulate the snow and ice, and they were famous for their distinct appearance of white hair and blue eyes. In Eleanor, there is a tradition, a tradition that only descendants of Eleanor who have white hair and blue eyes are considered true Eleanors. This was a rule initiated by Duke Perez to preserve the clan's features and ensure their continued lineage. The rule was seen as an act of pride and devotion to the Eleanor bloodline and was intended to preserve its purity and identity. The rule had been in place for generations. Eleanor is said to have only one or two individuals who can inherit its magic. The duke inherited the magic, surpassing his siblings despite being the youngest. When Charlize was born, he was so certain that she wouldn't inherit the magic due to her lack of traits usually associated with Eleanor, including physical appearance. That poor girl is now me, Charlize Eleanor a tainted descendant and a disgrace. The mere thought of it is making me sick. If only I dared to throttle that infuriating Gochujang, I wouldn't have seen that cursed book. The novel is childish in its own way. It's about the protagonist, Margaux, from Eritrea of the South, and the male protagonist, Alaster III, the Crown Prince of Camelot's royal family. The title itself is already quite cheeky and seems like something a young child would come up with, but the story itself is also fairly innocent, making it a whimsical but wholesome read for those who are looking for a light-hearted romance tale. The story begins with the FL attending a royal party, where she meets the young ML and they instantly fall for each other. The ML makes a pinky promise to the FL, proclaiming their love and promising to marry and live happily ever after once they've grown up. It's a classic tale of young love and promise, destined to be fulfilled. A sigh left my lips, Charlize, just how much did this kid suffer? I can’t remember the novel because she doesn’t even have a single info this made my situation more complicated than I thought. A neglected and unwanted daughter, she's left alone, and treated like a disgrace. Her father, Duke Eleanor, has abandoned her and the servants treat her with such indifference that it feels worse than being ignored. She's alone, a disgrace to her family, ignored and unloved by those who should be supporting her. I sighed, It's a cold wintery afternoon in the isolated mountains, far from those who seek Eleanor's favor. The roof is broken and the rooms are destroyed, leaving only the small living room with its roaring fireplace that provides the few sources of warmth. The only blanket I’ve managed to obtain is thin and meager, providing little protection against the frigid cold. This place is like a graveyard, haunted by the past and the ghosts of those who once lived and loved here. My stomach growled in hunger, I hadn’t eaten anything since breakfast I also skipped dinner yesterday to ration the food. I just hoped the snowstorm would disappear so that I could roam around the abandoned garden full of crops tomato soup and potatoes would be a delicious meal for lunch and dinner, I hope the well water won’t get frozen.
