“So, how’d it go?” Rachael asked as Jade flopped back in her own seat.
The rest of the girls leaned forward eager to hear the recount of events of Ada’s ‘socializing’ with men.
“I made a fool of myself.” She said.
“What?! How?” Lisa asked.
“I ridiculed and embarrassed them.” The girls responded with quick guffaws of laughter.
After they quieted, Ada continued, “Follow that up with critiquing and good ol’ fashioned typical ‘Jade Buzzkill’.”
“Aw, honey. It couldn’t have been that bad. From here it looked like a good time.”
“No. I told you guys. I’m not good with the opposite s*x. I bombed it.”
“Well, let’s have Evan get you another drink, then we’ll head home for a game.” Astrid said.
“I’d like that a lot.” She smiled, but added, “But someone else has to go ask Lurch. I’d like to avoid showing my face again.”
The group broke out in laughter again.
Shortly after, Astrid got up to go get the last round of drinks.
Ada felt like she was gone a little longer then necessary when Lisa piped up.
“Oh, look who’s talking to the guys.” Lisa observed.
“Oh nooo.” Ada groaned.
“Now she has our drinks, but she has the guys in tow.” Abigail continued the commentary.
“Nope. I’m not turning around.” Ada adamantly said.
She wasn’t going to admit that her curiosity was burning and it was killing her to not look. But she refused to give in to it.
Astrid came into her peripheral and plopped a drink in front of Jade.
“Apparently, Ada did not piss them off. And in fact, our new friends here, would like to join us for the rest of our evening activities.” Astrid announced proudly.
Ada buried her face in her hands as Astrid introduced the trio of suits to the rest of the girls.
The girls conspired as a collective and scooted over strategically that the only space left for the men to sit would be next to Ada.
She shot them all glares that was greeted with grins and chuckles.
“Astrid tells us that you ladies are about to head out. We’d like to see if we could pay for the next round and invite you to our suite to finish your night at.”
The girls all agreed quite to eagerly while Ada groaned.
“Looks like you’re outnumbered, sweetie.” Astrid said mischievously.
“All of you suck.” She said taking a swig of her drink.
“Let us pay you back for your ‘initiation’ as you put it.” Etienne told her with a smirk.
“s**t. Why do I feel like I’m going to regret this night.”
“Oh no. I’ll make sure that you don’t regret anything.” He countered.
The girls of the table whooped and laughed.
